7-4A vs 8-4A

Recommended Posts

After catching up after a day out of town, this thread has become OBSESSED with what the YANKER will call "Swapgate"!!! The YANKER's research show that the "unidentified HC coach" escorted out of the game was actually an operative of the CIA. The YANKER knows why he was at the game but I cannot say. The YANKER will tell you this however...it has to do with preliminary birth certificate checks...this should send shivers throughout the HC football community. The YANKER'a offseason work has begun!!!!!

Nothing that a good forger can't fix!

Shivers are due to the anticipation of Game 1 and the great football weather.

Do you need me to save you a seat????

I wish I knew the Yanker's address. I would like to send him the picture of #34, age 12, who was in Monday's paper as part of the Inman team that won West Tennessee Middle School Championship. The Yanker would never believe he was only 12 and the brother of our 15 year old.

What do you know about our chances against East?

The YANKER has not seen the picture in question but my guess is that the "younger" brother of #34 could still be as old as 24 and still the "younger" brother. Have no fear HC fans, the YANKER will make certain that your players are of the appropriate age.

For HC fans, how have your guys been playing since the Ridgeway game? I heard you guys were struggling toward the beginning of the year, but I know you were up against some steep competition. How is McNairl doing and #34? I have heard you guys are playing well. Is the offense much improved? I just wanted to say that Melrose's defense is jsut as good as Ridgeway's this year and your offense will have to be improved if you guys are going to pull the upset in the aroma filled MOUND. Just wondering how you guys were doing and good luck.

HC fans...how are your boys playing since the Ridgeway game? I knwo you were struggling earlier in the year, although you wre playing ood competition. How is McNairl and #34 doing? I hear yall are starting to get it together late in the year. Is the offense much improved from the Ridgeway game? Because if it is not you will have a tough time beating Melrose because their defense is as good as Ridgeway's this year. Just wondering how you are doing...good luck throughout the playoffs.

I have been posting on coach T for a while and I have seen some crazy threads but this one has got to take the cake, I have set back all week and read the posts on here, It entertains me to read the opinions of everyone and what everyone knows is going to happen, well I for one know what I want to happen, Tape swapping, foot pulling, good offense, bad defense, poor kicking game, most of which has been said by both parties has been very similar to the poliltical races going on, I am reading a lot by both teams why both teams will win and most of these reasons by HC are pointing at East saying stuff such as their kicking game is poor, and by East that HC is slow, well in the political ads on tv, I keep hearing why so and so should not be elected in stead of hearing why so and so should be elected.

Henry county wins this game for many reasons, they are the better team, they are physical, they are determined, they do respect East, and they are playing at home.

East is a good football team and the single most important factor may be the fact that HC is playing at home. I do expect a decisive game score becasue I do believe that if HC gets on top that the game will snow ball, again becasue East is in the unfriendly confines of Patriot Standium.

We are not concerned with Melrose at this point. They must worry about Hardin County and must beat East. I expect both games to be good ones. If we win and travel to Melrose, we will look forward to it.

The only thing I disagree with you on is that if I got "burned", and I have, I would not stop swapping with everyone, only the ones who "burned" me.

I can respect that. As I re-read my post that very same thought struck me as well. Coaching, no matter what the sport, is a fraternity of sorts. It's a small community where people get to know one another. Some people you like some people you don't. I would imagine that the coaches who are within the same region get to know each other after a while. You quickly learn who you can trade film with and with whom it is a waste of time and energy. Play-off games are a little different. You don't interact with these coaches as frequently as you would with the coaches in your region. Tape trading would have to be done on a good faith basis. Since the stakes are so much higher in this regard, trading and getting garbage in return can make a person want to turn 'postal'. Personally, as I seriously consider my options, I would attempt to trade film with other coaches. The coaching profession is a very volatile profession. Getting burned in a playoff game isn't the same as getting burned in the regular season. You may not ever coach against that particular head coach for another 10 years, if you coach against them at all. Putting that particular coach on your 'no trading' list doesn't do you much good at the time and it may never benefit you in the future.

I personally think that trading film is the right thing to do. Coaches today are getting fired left and right. You either win or you find another job. Couple that with the fact that you may ... or may not receive good film in return. Is it worth the risk? The easiest and safest thing to do would be to NOT trade and you and the other coach must fend for themselves respectively. Therefore ... I can see why some coaches don't trade.

While I do not agree with your entire post, I do appreciate the logic behind your thoughts. You seem to be quite insightful. I will follow your posts and continue to comment and respond. As a former coach, I appreciate many of the things that you say even when I do not agree. There is obviously much thought behind your positions.

~~This is the Reason My Patriots WILL WIN Come Friday~~

HC guys have the desire, the knowledge, the heart, strength & ability to WIN this game Friday night. They know their strategy & plays for this game & will adjust to whatever East dishes out. Nothing will suprise them & they will be ready for it all. The O-line is much improved since the 1st of the season & it's hard to stop these guys. This is the tightest O-line I've seen! They do their job Right so that Calvin can do his job right. Our D-line has had a few problems, but that is due to some changes & they are ready now! Daniel Allen & Robbie Gallimore are two of our greatest assets in our wins. All the players are physically well & ready, (and our Smitty is back to put a hurting on East). The Seniors don't want to make this there last game. They Will be like Hungry Tigers to make their dreams a reality. They know nothing is just handed to them. They have all worked their tails off to get to this point & they aren't just going to throw it away. East better be in bed by 7:00 p.m. tonight because tomorrow night is going to be one brutal, HARD HITTING game from both of our lines.

They Will WIN this game for themselves 1st, then their parents, the coaches, their school.

They know nothing worth having in life comes easy, you have to work for it.

!!!They Are Going To Make Their Mark In Patriots History!!!

~~~~~~As I tell ya before each game, WHOOP @$$ guys!!!~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~GOOOOOOOOO BIG REDDDDDDD~~~~~~~~~~~

***I'm not ready to stop being a football mom yet*** (I want to see the mound)

    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
    • Dorian Eskridge had a great Junior year, highlighted by a great game to lead HVA to an upset win at OR that year. I think that was 2010. In 2011 OR won at HVA. OR had a real good QB that year l think. Dorian Eskridge had a great senior year also. He always played hard from the DCM videos l saw.
