Stone has been beaten by 2 against AC, and 5 or 6 against Catholic in district play. However, they blasted Loudon at Stone earlier in Dec. I will say that it by far was Loudon's most lethargic game. They looked like they were half dead, which is very uncharacteristic of them. The score was a little lopsided late because of fouls and made free throws, but Stone got the W, and they will be a tough out in district play.

stone is a good ball club and they are definately in the district race at this point. however, they still have to play at loudon, at ac, and against catholic. thats a tough road! if they are able to run through those games, they deserve to win the district. i think that stone will be a tough tourney team, but there regular season chances are slim. but, the tourney is all that really matters. good luck!

What do you all make of Stone beating Oliver Springs 89-56 and then less than a week later Oliver Springs beating Catholic ?

Was the Stone/OS score correct? If so, that is pretty wild.

Harrison Smith is at the Army All American Football game this weekend. Without him, Catholic is a little different team. While this is a great win for OS, it would probably be a little different with one of the best athletes in state playing.....

Catholic was pretty lethargic themselves vs. Oliver Springs. Not to take anything away from O.S. they came out and played with an intensity that the Fighting Irish did not match. Playing without Harrison made a big difference, because it seems no one tried to pick up the slack on the boards. However the Irish got a huge wake up call and shouldn't take anything for granted anymore. After playing Kingston on Tuesday (Givens is back) the Irish have all tough games with rival CAK on Friday, Central on Saturday, Anderson County and Webb next week, Should be interesting.

Big game in district play between Stone and Loudon tonight. I'l be interested to see how Loudon plays after an emotional win on Fri. against AC, and against a team that embarassed them last time. If Loudon wants any chance at a reg. season district crown, they must win tonight. Stone could make a major statement on the road tonight, though. We'll see which Loudon team shows up. They have won pretty big the last four games.

Did I hear correctly that Kingston beat Catholic? If so, that is pretty wild. Did Harrison Smith play?

Kingston beat Catholic in OT after 2 STUPID blunders at the end of regulation. Ryan Walden of Catholic got a steal and was in the process of shooting an uncontested layup with 19 seconds left when one of the Catholic players grabbed and held a Kingston player that was chasing him. Ref called a foul on the Catholic player saying the hold occured prior to making the layup. The same player then intentionally fouled thinking the coach had said foul them coming out of the timeout (score was tied at the time and maybe the player thought we were behind). That was the 2 stupidest mistakes I've ever seen made back to back by the same player. Harrison Smith played but got into foul trouble quickly and ended up fouling out after playing limited minutes. Having Givens back was a huge lift for Kingston.
