I definitely agree the state championship is coming from east tennessee this year just like it always does. 2 3a is probably the toughest region in the state and you people from west better not be overlook AE either they have really tuffened up and i think we have three quality teams looking for a state championship.

2-3A: Fulton, Catholic, Austin East, & Kingston

4-3A: Pearl-Cohn, Sycamore, & Station Camp

7-3A: Crockett Co., Dyersburg, & Covington

5-3A: David Lipscomb & Giles Co.

3-3A: Meigs Co., Polk Co., Howard, & Notre Dame

6-3A: Jackson South Side, Lexington, & Fayette Ware

8-3A: Sheffield, Mitchell, Trezevant, & Frayser

1-3A: Carter & ???????????????????????????????

Those are 24 of your 32 playoff teams as we sit right now from each induvidual region.

At the top the best regions are Region 2-3A, Region 5-3A, & Region 7-3A. All three of those regions each have two teams that are very capable of winning it all this postseason. The best region in the state from top-to-bottom is Region 4-3A. Sycamore is in at 7-3 and they'll probably wind up as a #4 seed with that kind of record which is almost unheard of. Station Camp and Pearl-Cohn will be battling it out for the region title tomorrow night. White House is playing their rivals in Greenbrier just to be able to get into the playoffs. If they lose then it will be Macon Co. that goes to the playoffs. Region 3-3A is going to send four solid teams to the playoffs, they are listed above, but I don't feel that any of them will win or come close to winning a state title. Region 6-3A has one great football team and two others that are very solid. Region 8-3A has a second round playoff team from last year that could sneak up on some folks again this year. Outside of that their three other representatives will be at home after round one. Finally there is Region 1-3A. Carter is the #1 seed and they will struggle to get beyond the first round again this year. There other three seeds will be determined tomorrow night to "earn the right" to play teams like Fulton, Catholic, & Austin East in round one of the playoffs.

Go to any thread that a west Tn person posted on and people can see *although people from west TN are close minded and won't see the difference!* For example go to the best teams in the state for any region. Every single person from the west area says goodpasture and milan are better then Alcoa... bwawawa I'm sorry but if they were better then why haven't they won state?? And then someone said that Lipscomb and Crockett are the top teams... bwawaw I say again Fulton and Catholic are MUCH better then any team west has produced in the past years. IF *and that is a big if* you all win state this year then you can talk, but until then I won't ever pay much attention to you all, sorry that's the truth!!! Earn your respect

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
