Goodpasture vs. Alcoa

Tired of the talk about the handshake....I knew when the issue came up suddenly Alcoa would act like they are so classy and would never do it!Now after the game is over yall bash GP.I guess some of you old fools on here need to learn from the kids after the game they shock hands and didnt talk trash or fight but realized it ewas a game!It was not a blowout look at the stats.GP was about 4 plays from being state champs but thats football.Congrats to Alcoa on a hard fought win.Congrats to Goodpasture on a great year.It was closer than the score reaveled!

 

yep is was closer...closer than last year, only 28 points. Face it- the whole handshake thing happened....now that's ALCOA FOOTBALL!!! BTW GP got bashed during the game or did you not see the game look at the tape all I have to say is de-cleated!

If Goodpasture ever wants to WIN a championship, they are going to have to get MUCH more balanced offensively. They where VERY one dimensional.

They have won with the same offense.Got there with the same offense.Just didnt finish!When will you learn to read I said congrats to Alcoa but the game wasnt just dominated like it was last year.35-0 half.10-3 half.Like I said they were about 4 plays away but 4 plays is enough to lose

Befor ethe half it was a good game. After the half, not so much. Alcoa wa sprobably 4 plays from eclipsing last year so whats your point. I don't belive the Goodpasture was just 4 plays away. Sorry, I just don't. Also, why did the Goodpasture fans appear to sit spread out instead of one big group. There were many seats between alot of people. Didn't look too close knit. Plus, your fans seem to have lost hope. They were filing out pretty consistently in the 2nd half. When they were down by 21 a good number left, and everytime they got stopped more walked out. You got there with the same offense, fact was apparently the teams you beat were worse than Alcoa.Had goodpasture made those 4 plays, I am sure Alcoa would have made their own.

Congrats to Alcoa. You played the a good game and your defense came through when it had to. Three stops on 4th and short and two interceptions, game over. We held Shiverdecker in check most of the game but your receivers were too much for our backs. Hope to see you next year.

i must say that last night was a huge disappointment for me. when i got to the game i was for alcoa. face it they have talent that no body else has but there is a down fall to that kind of talent. they're cocky. they wine more than my little sister does. they were winning 17-3 in the 3rd and STILL got up in the refs faces after EVERY SINGLE PLAY. i was embarassed for them. i would rather lose and have good attitudes than win and think im some kind of god. GET OVER YOURSELFS. your own fans were even sayin stuff about it. now its time for your coaches to start recruiting for next year.

 

as for goodpasture-yall had one heck of a season. your 19 seniors and your coach have more class & heart than ive seen in a while. yall should be proud of your accomplishments. just think about how many teams would have killed to be in your posision last night. coming from a maryville fan GO COUGARS

Alcoa played way out of their confort zone and played the best in the state. The blue stayed in their comfort zone saying they were the best.

Let me clear up your confusion.......I watched to game. Alcoa was NOT whining to the Refs every play. I REALLY thought both teams played a pretty classy game.

 

Living in Blount County and pulling for both Alcoa & Maryville, I'm pretty sure 1 post B.A.D is NOT a Maryville person.............Maryville and Alcoa support and cheer for the other during the annual Championships!

Your classy poster too Milan boy! Alcoa is in the top 5 in the state based on Tenn. TCAP scores. Don't take my word for it. Go out and check. You find Maryville, Alcoa and Oak Ridge at the top. All East TN schools.

 

Don't be hating Alcoa cause your school could not get it done!
