Coach A. is a Great coach.. Riverdale is a Great school so why are so many coaches going elsewhere?? Hope the players are adapting to all of the changes. seems like it by what has been said in previous postings but Riverdale has got to pull it out..got to be ready bc every1 will be after them since so much talk about their expectations. Hope their are some LEADERS (players) 2 step up on the team w/ all of the coaching changes they will need the Leaders to hold all of them together & keep them focused. & Riverdale does have some Great guys that can step up & take on that role but will they?? Best of Luck Coach A..in filling those positions and best of luck to the players keep focued & it will all fall into place. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Players..trust Coach A...He will lead you right!! and those team mates that can need to step it up!! and Lead them to championship.. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

There are a lot of possible reasons for why we've seen the coaching turnover. Schemes/philosophy and fitting into those is probably a big part. We've had some good coaches come in that are probably more familiar with what we're trying to do. Most of the coaches that left have left for better positions/promotions. Obviously, the defensive coaches have a tough act to follow with the loss of Collins' leadership and fire. Roberts seemed more like a temporary thing from the beginning so I'm not surprised at all on that one. Frankly, I thought we had better material at LB last year than we showed on the field. We have an excellent group of coaches...they just neesd to develop some chemistry and come together as a staff.

I agree 100% that the thing that can carry you through these transitions is senior leadership. Hope those guys are up to the task and I believe they will be.

If I had to guess, I would say Coach A. would rather have his own staff working for him anyway. I am sure Coach Rankin's staff was professional enough not to say "we used to do it this way", but you know they had to think it at times. I think it is better for Riverdale to have a new assistant coaching staff in their with the new head coach.

Besides NOW some got the Head Coaching jobs they were LONG overdue for. Others left with the new head coaches as they are now getting the advancement they were due as OC's and DC's. Life is about advancement.

New Coaches, new day. SAME winning attitude!

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
