QUOTE(HHSnumber1fan @ Feb 26 2007 - 08:29 PM) 826390731[/snapback]Sycamore is already AAA in Football, and I think from what BC said they are staying in AA basketball. But I heard they were going up.

The enrollment figure has to increase by at least 20% for any school to be forced to increase in classification from now through the spring of 2009. Sycamore & Creek Wood's enrollments may force them to move to AAA in both baseball & basketball AND 4A in football starting in the fall of 2009 BUT for now they can stay because their enrollment numbers still have not jumped by the 20% margain that's required.

The COWARD (GoGetta160) who started that thread putboobieincoach is a moron PLAIN & SIMPLE!!!! Josh Puckett & Michael Jackson are doing a great job with the baseball program. If anyone watched the Cubs baseball team last year then they obviously saw a team that DID NOT COMPETE!!!! That's the thing that the coaches at CCCHS are striving to try and get the baseball program to do A.S.A.P. in Ashland City. COMPETITION BRINGS OUT THE BEST IN WINNERS & SHOWS HOW COWARDLY LOSERS CAN BE!!!!! The person who started that last thread falls under the second of those two categories.

Both the football and basketball teams at CCCHS are so successful because THEY COMPETE!!!! Trust me when I tell you all that Ashland City is not filled with tremendous athletes. When you play Cody Finley's Cubs on Friday Nights in the Fall you know automatically that you'd better strap it up or it's going to be a long and painful night for your football team. Coach Jackson knows this as he's been on the staff for two years now. Him playing under proven winners such as Cody Finley, Gary Halstead, & Tommy Tharp in high school is also proof of this (which is probably a key reason for him going on to enjoy so much playing success at UTM). Coach Puckett just joined the staff this past year. He's a guy who was a star football/baseball player at Greenfield and received several offers to play at the next level (circumstances far more important that athletics prevented this from occurring). When you play Phil Carr's Lady Cubs or John Stigall's Cubs during the Winter months you know right away that you better be prepared to RUN IF YOU WANT TO BEAT THE CUBS!!!!! Both of those teams will battle you night in and night out for four quarters.

As soon as the baseball team figures this concept out at CCCHS the wins will start to come. You must first learn how to win before you can actually start doing so. With that in mind let the coaches coach the game. COACHES GET PAID TO COACH & PLAYERS GET THE LUXURY OF PLAYING (provided of course that they make the grades academically).

BC, hope to see you in the District 11-AA Baseball Forums this year, with all the information, like you had in Basketball season. You did a great job.
