morristown east is a young team that has a lot of talent... coach calvin decker in his final year at mo' east will have his squad ready to come out and play great against db... the biggest part of this win will be in the play of brian coy and walker bullington both sophomores with junior guard korey ely and garrett cook... walker bullington is guaranteed to have a standout game with over 20 points

I would be very shocked if this went down as you say because I watched DB destroy the #2 team in the IMAC with the subs playing the majority of the 4th qtr...and seeing as this game is in the Dome . Could it happen? Yes if DB doesn't wake up from the funk they are in....but I would venture to guess last night left a bad taste and they want to redeem themselves.

No. This isn't football. D-B won't choke in the 1st round.

Its possible just not very probable DB is really not that good. I look for Greeneville and the other to be an upset to advance from the region. Who knows it could be one of the Moristown teams or Cherokee

Im sorry to burst your bubble but there is no way on a hot day in heck that mo east can beat DB. I look for all of the BIG 9 teams to win their first round. Yes even Volunteer because Greenville has not played anybody with their "style of play". Greenville is good dont get me wrong but they are a little overrated in my mind. Maybe thats just my own opinion but I dont see an IMAC team making it to the second round. Good luck to the BIG 9 family.

Guaranteed??? Wow I know Walker had a good game against West having his career high with 24 but how in the world would anyone say that was a guarantee? Do you bet on horses too?

    • Sounds like a great opportunity has opened up for the football team.  With the head coach of the diamond rebels making it official and quitting this week, there should be some room for the gridiron guys to benefit. I assume the administration won’t continue paying six figures to two former coach that quit to continue teaching drivers Ed. Thats pretty good money that could be redirected toward the football program. Also, with the more recent policies of pushing kids to only play one sport, abolishing the baseball program altogether would help on Friday nights in the fall. There is some decent speed on that baseball team that should’ve been playing on Fridays IMO. I’m not sure if anybody would really miss that baseball program anyway with it being across town from the school. The liability of letting players actually use the facilities could also be mitigated with closing the program. That liability seems to be a really big issue for 825. Anyway, it seems like a great opportunity is available.
    • Yeah, I read about their spring blue/gray scrimmage after I typed that.   Sounds like a real mess over there.  I just hate that for 'em.  Haw
    • Maybe OR will be, but Farragut, nah, I don’t think anybody realizes how much of a bad situation that program is in currently. I’m sure they will build out of it, but the next 3 to 4 years are going to be a long climb up.
    • Thats one of the problems of having an 8-team region. A team could make it in any other region, but the numbers work against them in this one.
