Thought we might as well go on and start a thread on this game. It's going to be a huge game.I've never seen Riverdale play so i'm not sure how we'll match up but I have heard unbelievable things about Anne Marie Lanning. What are we going to have to do to stop them?..and does anyone think we have enough to pull it off?

Well we are going to have to play real good basketball. Lanning scored 45 on Shelbyville and our whole team scored 33 vs them in the District Champ. Game. However, we got good momentum going into this game. And ive herd that last night after the Siegel win, Coach Scott had about 15-20 min. speech about how badly she wants to win Monday. So our girls should be fired up and ready to go, but dont get me wrong Lanning is good and will be hard to stop.

I wish the best of luck to both teams. But in all honesty, you just can't stop Anne Marie Lanning. The girl is unbelieveable.

LCHS is pretty good but they will have to play more consistantly than they played against Siegel to win this game. While LCHS does play good defense, I'm not sure they can contain Riverdale's potent offensive attack and score enough to win this game. With all deference to a fine LCHS coaching staff, the Riverdale Staff very likely has a different motivation for winning. Riverdale by 13.

Who will get the transition points? Answer this question and you have your winner.

It is well documented as to how I feel about Ree Ree and really don't think I will ever respect any athlete any more than I do her. I certainly think she should win Ms. B'ball in AAA. Sure wish she and her family were still here in L'burg, but that is just a selfish wish. The problem here is that we are not playing Ree Ree, we are playing a very good Riverdale team and if you focus too much on one player you seal your doom in so doing. I know I am just stating the obvious so I will stop on that subject

I hope more than anything that L.C.H.S wins this game because we have 3 seniors that deserve to have good things happen for them. Core, Drew and AshMo are now and will always be a big part of all the good things I remember about the game of Basketball. I have said many times on this board that it is by far the greatest team sport ever invented and these three young ladies play it the way God intended.

My call ......... LCHS by 1.

kwright, i could not have said this any better. i am so proud of these young ladies and the many ways they use their God-given talent to represent their school, community and fans. these young ladies have been through a lot together over many years of basketball, and i definitely could not imagine finding a group of young ladies more deserving. Good luck Monday night, Lady Cats! We are there for yall all the way! Go get 'em!

I'll take my Lady Cats by 3

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
