Coaching change at Science Hill

I waited till the season was over to ask this question. I heard Cutlip is leaving to take another job. The rumor is and as the old

saying is "from a reliable source" that Brien Crowder is the 1st choice.

Rumor has it, they he will take one of the Morristown jobs. AD Kieth turner just might appoint himself headcoach and bring a former east tennessee head coach with him as assistant. Just a rumor.

Cutlip did apply at West. This was told to me during the time prior to a pretty good run that led up to the lost against Maryville.

Two Questions-1. Why would Cutlip leave Science Hill? 2. Would Crowder leave Nashville (Antioch) with 5 returnings starters back? I would say No.

You don't need to recruit at Science Hill. I heard the Green Devils talent pool is drying up.

Why would Cutlip leave SH for Morristown? That doesn't make any sense.

I don't believe that leave is the issue. I think the issue is "forced to leave". The people at science hill are getting unhappy about not making it to the state tournament. So therefore Cutlip would be looking for a way out. If he does not find a way then he would be forced out.

 

I think that Bill Duncan from Greeneville would fit in really good at Science Hill. He would have unlimited access to the type of players that he wants to coach. The talent pool is pretty dry at Greeneville, so who knows, he might just want to leave.
