This riverdale team is excited!! They are pumped. Text messages were going around last night and earlier this morning. Last night texts were going around...only 23 hours left until game time. And this morning...T-minus 11 hours. lol. This Riverdale team is more ready than ever. Oakland had better be as ready or this game is ALL Riverdale's. And as of now...8 hours and 10 minutes until the showdown of game #1. lol.

Students are looking forward to tomorrows game at Riverdale. Can anyone say...Tailgate!! lol. Students are throwing a tailgate for the game tomorrow. This team, fans, and student body are READY....If Oakland or anyone is looking for Riverdale to back down at ANY time, sorry. There is too much hype going around. These will be great games and i CANNOT wait. I am hoping to see EVERYONE there.

QUOTE(magoo043 @ Apr 10 2007 - 10:44 AM) 826433893[/snapback]don't know that anyone SERIOUSLY expects Riverdale to lay down....They are the defending district champs!

Trust me...Oakland isn't overlooking riverdale

I feel like if Oakland can sweep the defending state champs (Farragut) then they can sure handle the defending district champs.

I think if Oakland goes out and plays the way they are capable of, then they should win easily.

If they go out with a big head and not focused then they will have trouble because riverdale will play hard and they want to win.

I think it will be a good series but i think oakland goes away with a sweep

    • Sounds like y'all got a lot of bodies to choose from. We lost 2 really good seniors and have 4 from Junior High that has moved up. That will give us 12 starting summer camps. As you know we all have to stay healthy. Proud Alexander and Micah are going to play together at Bethel. They were really fun to watch at the All Star game in Murfreesboro. They have real good chemistry together on the floor.
    • Baxter will do what they most always do.....at a minimum produce at least 9 Ws and run into at least the 2nd round.....Booger actually enjoyed seein them in the Gold Ball contest last season.... Booger just sayin
    • Catholic North will provide them both a decent contest Booger just sayin
    • Well personally I see us going 9-1 so that isn't doom and gloom to me , Most people are thinking 6-4. Bearden will be the possible loss but hoping not. I was very impressed with what I saw this spring.
    • the kid you are speaking about, played in JV games,  2H half Science Hill game, split time in Hardin Valley and Bearden and that was it.   The upcoming Senior RB was All Region as a Junior and is regarded by the media as one of the top running backs in East TN for 2024 season. Scouting services have him as a top 10 back in the state.  Something aint adding up with gloom and doom. Maybe he was hurt and not at spring practice when you watched?
