Gerry Bertier
Congrats to Ben Wilshire from Fairview. I graduated with Ben and he has ton of potential to be a great relief pitcher in baseball. Can't wait to see where he ends up and how he does. Congrats to Ben. I believe he is the first ever baseball player from Fairview to get drafted if I am not mistakened. 1moreDBmom
QUOTE(wingman10 @ Jun 8 2007 - 08:52 PM) 826473075[/snapback]Go Peay...3 players drafted Congratulations South Doyle for 3 draft picks. Hawn in round 23, Bell in round 25, and Brentz in round 30. It was reported that Trent of DB could posibly be picked in rounds 5 through 10 by KC but he had let then know ahead of time if he did not draft below the 10th round that he would opt for college. I think Derek made a very wise choice in college over a low round draft selection. In 3 years if he puts together the same numbers at ETSU that he did for DB we will see him in round 1! I certainly hope that Hawn, Bell and Brentz realize that a college education is a lot more valuable then a 250k signing bonus! It is an honor to get drafted but not necessarily the wise choice to sign when drafted that far back in the crowd.
2priceless
Very special congrats to Blackman's DAVID PRICE for being the FIRST pick. Very impressive for sure. David is one of the finest young men that you will ever meet. Success has not changed him and never will. I know his folks have to be really proud right now. I know he is a great guy/teammate and all, but the type of money he is going to be offered is going to be pretty hard to turn down. Plus, Vandy loses alot from this years team

Plus, Vandy loses alot from this years team I wouldnt blame him, why get stuck in the Devil Rays organization. Come back and hope that next year you get selected by a better franchise. Devil Rays do not handle their young pitching very well. Come back David.
steal3rdbase
You guys are crazy. First off, the Devil Rays are a front runner for having the 1st pick again next year in the draft. Secondly, hes 1st OVERALL. Why in the WORLD would you even THINK about going back to college after being drafted 1st overall. There is no logic to that.
