Smith County @ Gordonsville

What are some thoughts.

 

If Gville doesn't play any better than they did against Cheatham Co., they'll have some trouble.

The Owls have won the previous nine games, so even if I wasn't a fan of SC, I would still go with the Owls. Although, everyone is saying "this is the year," (although, that is said every year.) I do believe Gordonsville has a legitimate shot and loads of talent, but does that guarantee a win, certainly not. Sooner or later, Gordonsville will beat the Owls, but is this the year? I say no, and SC pulls out a close one.

 

The Owls didn't play that well tonight either. Offense has to execute better if they plan to beat Gordansville next Friday night. No doubt. SC's defense has showed they are solid, but the offense has it's moments. Can't wait for the game next Friday.

Gordonsville looked good in spots on both sides of the ball.

 

We did real well against the run, but there are other areas we need to improve on if we are to win next week.

 

From what I heard tonight, SC's QB may steal the show.

Both teams got that first W under their belt. Now it's time for "Bragging Rights". It seems that both teams had their moments this week. It's all water under the bridge now. The only thing that matters now is 7 o'clock next Friday Night. Different year....same ole story?

He definatley has the ability to do so. As do several kids on both teams. The Owl D may be the show. They are looking pretty solid early.

 

Gonna be a great week. Lots of expectation. Who will be disappointed?

Gville used a lot of players tonight, It may have helped but I think it also caused a little confusion.

Maybe the bugs will be out of our system next week.

The most I have seen in a week is 50 something. That seems like it could be fairly impossible. And If I read a 100 pages of this thread, I would be dumber for it. And Lord knows, that I don't need that.

I also browsed TSSAA rules for football last night and there was nothing

saying anything about not using the horns we have or anything else in that matter

so with that said the BIG BLUE XPRESS will be in full force Friday night....toot....toot
