Oneida vs Hampton

Recommended Posts

Say what you will, but Johnson Co plays in 4a, after our game the other night, they said it was the biggest line they had seen in along time. Oneida will be talking about Hampton's size about Saturday morning.

Trust me on this one. Hampton has the biggest line on both sides of the ball I can remember seeing. For granted, most of them are the same guys going both ways but make no mistake that they are big and also very quick for that kind of size. I believe Pujo estimated 275 across the board but I think they average closer to 300 myself. A little much is made about class in alot of these posts. This is a year that Hampton is very capable of competing at any level in Upper East TN. They dont come often for many of us but this is their time. Any team thats wants to have a chance at beating them better be able to control the ball and keep their offense off the field. We threw it around way to much to early and not only didnt complete many passes but we stopped the clock and made the game very long. With that said, that is the only way I can see it happening and that will be easier said than done. Their defense is no joke either.

Vader....your quite a tater. There ain't gonna be any brains beat in, unless you unknowingly walk through the wrong crowd up here. Best to stay off the South Fence around the concession stand, you'd stand a better chance in the Federal Pen! As a matter of fact, we might have a few over there that actually served some time. Don't say I didn't warn you, half of them spit acid. Anyway you get the picture. I think we are all in for a great game, just like last week. No one likes to lose, but you take lessons from every thing. Hope the homeboys do the teaching, but who knows! It ain't gonna be no picnic for either team, so strap it on!

Hey Lord Vader it never fails that some little smart ?ss thug is always trying to start a fight at a ball game. Usually this person is talking crap how they are going to beat Hampton and when it is all said and done. They will be b?tching and wineing that they got cheated or something of the nature. Sounds to me that kazam37 must not be to liked around the south end of the fence. Probably has had a couple of experiences of getting his ?ss beat by that crowd.

Reaction ,you hit the nail on the head, We ran in every hole known to mankind with several different people. As far as seniors goes, This is the most Hampton has had for quite a while. We do have some quality young guys.

On another note, I'm sorry to hear about you're QB. Thats a shame in the first game of the season. Was he a senior. Good luck to BB this season.

Luckily Nic Hughes is a junior. So he can go through his treatments and get back on the field next year. He has a lot of potential to be a very good one at Boyd. He hurt his wrist before last season as he was challenging for the starting job as a sophomore and that pretty much hurt his chances. He is a tough kid. He will bounce back and be ready next year. Good luck to Hampton the rest of the year. I will keep reading up on ya to see how your doing.

IT WILL BE A GREAT GAME.I HOPE THE BULLDOGS COME UP HERE WITH THE BIG HEAD SO JUST KEEP TELLING THEM HOW GOOD THEY ARE I HOPE THEY THINK THAT THEY DONT EVEN HAVE TO GET OFF THE BUS TO WIN THIS ONE.THE ONLY REASON THEY ONE LAST YEAR IS BECAUSE OF THE REFS THAT WAS THE WORST CALLED GAME I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE.THE ZEBRAS WERE NOT GOING TO LET US WIN.

Wow. You saying the refs beat you by 3 TD's and then some? Thats AMAZING!!!... Gah, I hate losers that blame losing on everything other than the fact that the got HANDLED.... Thats one of the sorriest excuses I've ever seen. No wonder ya'll havent done a darn thing since 1992.

From what I hear about the Oneida tape they look tough. Hampton will not over look Oneida at all and that is why Hampton will beat them by more than a few points. The bulldogs will bring their A+ game and when Hampton plays to their potential it will be a thing of beauty.

Some people seem to think that Hampton will overlook Oneida. Thats the farthest thing from the truth. They are preparing for a battle. The good thing is ,They know how to do it, these players have played 28 games the last two seasons, thats nearly a whole extra season. When you consider 8 of these games were playoff games ,you are talking a ton of experience. They know how hard you have to play to beat a quality team. I'm glad we are playing a quality opponent. After Beating Johnson Co last week, these boys might go to sleep if we were playing a muffin team.

Pujo i played for Cosby last year, im actually one of the Lowe twins. Had a blast playin against you. you guys had a great team last year but do you think you have a better team this year? because I hear that you guys have a better squad this year but i dont see how thats possible. i know you dont have a WR the caliber of Lyons (way under rated) and everyone knows bout Townsend. well just currious and good luck this year.

Good to hear from you, hope you and you're brother are doing well. I'n my opinion ,this team is better than a year ago. Its a more balanced team with alot of experience. The line is also bigger and better. What it really comes down to is we have a quality player at every position. If this bunch stays focused and they stay healthy, Hampton people are going to have some fun Friday nights. I'm going to hate this season coming to an end.

    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
