Bearden vs. Dobyns Bennett

Bearden fans, the Dobyns-Bennett Quarterback Club is hosting a Tailgate Dinner from 5:00pm until 7:15pm tonight in the Buck Van Huss Dome lobby (the lobby of the D-B Dome) with outstanding bar-b-q and the fixins from Broad Street Bar-B-Q (a local bar-b-q legend) and you are all certainly welcome and invited to attend. The cost for food and drink is only $6.00 (it is a fundraiser for the QB Club).

 

Should be a great game tonight with maroon being the color-me-beautiful color of the night...have a safe trip.

I hadn't said much about this game, but I know this Bearden squad is more prepared to beat DB this year then they ever have been. We always play DB tough at home. Bearden takes it this year on the back of its defense.

Bearden will stack up to stop the run because they have no respect for DB's passing game. The DB receivers will keep droping the ball and Clark will keep sending in passing plays. The receivers will come around after mid season but not this game or the next.

My prediction:

The Bar-B-Q will be excellent...

...and the popcorn will be stale (like the O-fense)

 

Oh and the game will be won by the Bulldogs by 8....17-9 is what I'm feeling. I predict the passing game will improve...only 5 dropped balls this night

Not the GC way. He likes to promise all 99 boys and 1 girl they will "get a look" to keep them around to make his side line look good and his civic club speeched sound great. The 14-15 boys that play the entire game cant handle the 4th qtr., too tired. There are plenty of guys that can tackle on the side line too, not arm tackle and not 5 yards off the ball. DB needs this win tonight, it could make a BIG difference for the next few games.
