wasqbnowcoach
Is Boone's line big? Are they tall and heavy or just heavy? Don't know?
barb
And you want me to cut them some slack? Now, I expect this type of thing out of South Greene. Blowhard Blazers? Only people trashing YOU on here weren't from Boone. Read it again. Sorry you lost, but your coach scheduled the 4A opponent. No, Barb, as I said before, last year they were usually smaller than the teams they played, but had good skills as lineman. Occasionally size overcame them. Volunteer had a big line, and of course, MoWest was big and talented. Sullivan South was just too talented overall. This year, I don't know yet. It would seem that the conference will go to either Greeneville or MoEast, MoWest will still make some noise, and Boone will have to struggle for a playoff spot, but it's very early, anything could happen. Kinda surprised that Volunteer lost to Sullivan east, even though I heard East was improved.Best I can figure Compustupe is a Sullivan South guy, so he'll be obnoxious for at least one more season.chasescott appears to be from Knoxville way, not a Boone fan, just a Greeneville hater, I guess. So...enough football, do you think I should switch from mud to jello...I think it might be easier on my old knees. Is Boone's line big? Are they tall and heavy or just heavy? Don't know? I thought you saw them in the jamboree.Thats why I asked.
wasqbnowcoach
I did, I also saw every other team. At that time I was only paying attention to Jeff. County, because they were Greeneville's first opponent.

bucdaddio
Didn't your line backer get kicked in the face by a horse last year? How is he doing does anyone know? Didn't mean to ignore the question, sorry. Calvin McCray, the linebacker you mentioned, was stomped in the face by a bull after being thrown off in a rodeo event. His skull was fractured, facial bones crushed, as well as other injuries. I was told he stopped breathing twice on the way to the hospital. After a tough recovery and a few setbacks (including a life-threatening infection that caused the doctors to remove the titanium plates in his face), he has recovered as much as possible. However, my understanding is that doctors will not release him to play, which (especially if you know Calvin) is absolutely killing him. I suppose because of the facial and head trauma, and because he lost an eye in the accident. He is certainly one tough customer. If you saw any Boone games late in the season last year, you probably saw him on the sideline, the short, muscular boy wearing the black cowboy hat and eyepatch, and waving the towel to keep his teammates fired up, including one game where he made the doctors put off his surgery for the afore-mentioned infection until after Friday night, so he wouldn't miss the game. He's still part of the soul of the team, so thanks for asking.
JusBsure
Daniel Boone and Greeneville are playing this Friday at Gray. Kick-off is at 7:30. Thoughts? Go, Go, Go! Greeneville by 20 or more. I think I predicted 34-9 in an earler post, but it may not be that close.

FB may be a love for him but after riding the bulls I got the impression that mear humans would be easy. If you thought we got whipped last year, be glad Calvin wasn't out there. Now this year....... wasqbnowcoach
Less than 24 hours away so I decided I can predict now Greeneville 27 Daniel Boone 13. 27 because of a couple of made field goals, 13 because a missed or blocked EP.
