Henry Co. vs Martin Westview?

Does anyone know how good westviews passin game is. I have heard about there line. And i have read in the newspapers about there runnin game. But i havent heard anything about there passin game.

I would love nothing more than to play those Wildcats and show them "just how bad our team really is." Fact is, Clarksville will have to beat Maplewood/Mt. Juliet and then Hillsboro first. We would only meet them in the semis. Even if we did play, in all likelyhood they would NOT be sending us home.

 

 

Drewcephus Good Luck to you guys this Fri. on a injury free game.You never no how its going to shake out in few more weeks we'll start to see a clearer picture. Semis don't look to far out for this crew. And our brothers across town, well we have along standing with them. And i no the Pats history. These Cats are up to the challenge if comes and thats a given at Henry Co. too. This would be a good one i do believe. We both have easy Friday's this week. Later

Welcome Golfendude! Your "NW borther" was giving us some flak on that other thread. I too think it would be great to match up with you guys. I remember last year hoping you guys would pull it out against the burros.

 

Your "Bruiser" looks as advertised. We too have one of those, I like to call him the "Punisher" though his nickname is The Bull. 6-0' about 255 lbs. Heck of a running back, with ~1500 yds last year as a sophomore. Like you said, maybe we will meet. Good luck to you guys this week as well, but our game is not as easy as yours is going to be. Westview is big and physical and its going to be a battle. Take care my friend! Win out!!!

I am quite certain that the size advantage would go to HC on both accounts. At least I feel good about our O-line vs their D-line.

I know they are a good 2A Team. Pats want to continue keeping penalties and turnovers low. I was told that most of their linemen play both OL and DL. If that is true, two questions come up for me, if it happens to be close in second half it will be interesting to see how 4th Qtr shapes up and will Westview coach play some second string due to this being a non region game? Should be interesting, very interested and how Pats line performs. I have to believe they will do well.

 

 

we have one lineman that plays both ways but he gets breaks all the time.

Did you read in the PI last night where Martin sent stats to the paper that said their team had only allowed a combined 19 yards rushing in the last two games? This is a a scary night for me. We have to be at peak performance. Go Big Red!

I guess we will see what the Patriot OL and DL is made off tonight. Should be a good matchup. Looking forward to the kickoff. Conditions are perfect for some great football.

i play for westview but i didnt know that we only allowed 19 yards in the first 2 games.

many teams think that arent going to win this big game.

I wouldnt doubt that this is true. For the past two seasons westview has been a run stopping defence. I know that union city didnt run well against them and jcs had a rough time...but i didnt know that combined they only ran for 19 yards. That is wild! Henry county has some good backs and a quick qb. i would expect a little more than 19 yards out of them but not a 100+ yard game. Westview has been talking all this week about the run game. They are saying make them beat you with the pass, and that is what i believe that they will have to do. It is still going to be one heck of a game...Good luck to both teams and hope its injury free.

This is all a little strange. 4A school ranked 3rd in the state should run all over a 2A school like Westview. 19 yards rushing by two teams that run spread offenses? Come on, JCS passes 90% of the time. Henry County has a fullback who runs 19 yards with 4 defenders hanging on him and a QB who is said to be faster than last year's stud QB. Am I off base here or what? I stand with my original post - Henry County should show mercy to Westview!
