wow, for a CHS forum this one has been DEAD, theres usually a billion post by Wednesday night.

anyways, centennial has been looking good in practice correcting a lot errors. theyll come out on top by atleast 2 TD.

Well I attribute that to two reasons.

1. This isn't a big rivalry game, CHS played 2 cross town rivals in their first two games, so that would generally graduate a little more interest.

2. Nobody has said anything stupid....yet

Certainly, I don't want to say anything stupid, but this game is huge for CHS's development. A loss here would be very costly and embarrassing for this fragile team. I hope coach Mat has them ready to go. Word has it that the Cougars are attracting a lot of attention as they are the Ch 3 game of the week. You don't get to be game of the week twice especially a non-region game unless there is a lot of excitement around the program. Kudos to the whole team and all the Coaches. Coach Burkes is to be credited... what a great offensive scheme he has developed.

The school spirit has really stepped up. I couldn't believe how many people were tailgating last week and I hear this week there will be a DJ set up in the parking lot. I can't wait to get to kickoff.

Here's my two cents...

This is a battle of two dangerous offenses, but also two unproven defenses. Both teams are prone to giving up big plays. The defense that are able to limit those plays better will win.

Coach Mat ran the power I while at Fairview, so he knows this offense pretty well. I think that will be a bit of an advantage.

Staley Haynes is an explosive runner, and he isn't as powerful as Pettigrew, he still can make you miss.

CHS had a very good practice this week, and worked on alot of the mistakes that cost them last week.

I'm standing by what I said earlier, if Centennial limits their mistakes, they will win. I'm picking Centennial by 6.

I think it'll be close. Both teams need this win. If the cougars pull this win off, they should be able to win their next 2 games. And possibly pick up the momentum to beat Dickson County.

CHS by a touchdown.

I would love to see Centennial take this one (Go Region 6!!!), but you would have to pick up a heck of a lot of momentum to take down Dickson County. If you do, it will be a sad day for Bruin fans everywhere!

Good luck Cougars! Let's make sure two Region 6 schools come out on top over Region 4 tonight!

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
