Meanwhile...back to the game at hand. Those last posts sound like MC of the last few yrs....and I know I don't want to go thru that.

 

Daniels is the MAN. Daniels is in charge. You play all out for him or you don't play. Last time that I checked, a lot of teams' coaches are like that.

 

It is easy to oversimplify that Page only runs a few of this and that. Fact is...they have growing pains. Daniels has been thru that with other teams. The players would be wise to listen because he has benn there before.

 

I just want to see everyone healthy and in their best position to see what we actually can do. If that happens then we will be competitive.

I'm Gonna take the Tigers of Marshall Co. in this one...kinda had a hiccup against Hickman Co.but have played very well since and had what i consider the biggest upset in the midstate last week against Columbia

i agree coach p was a good man,i also agree that coach daniels is a great coach.but when you watch the game and see what the team is going to do before they do it,that s not good.they do have a young qb and he is learning but you can tell when he is going to neel on a pass or to lankford on the run,who averages 2 yards per carry.i also agree the wr jog off the line but dont you think that the wr coach should address that. there is alot of room for improvement and will.get there.you cant always blame the boys when they are running the plays that are being called in from the sideline.ohh and by the way i"m a fan of page high football and dont have anyone playing.and i know every team has thier own troubles.also, i forgot to mention the coaches did bench everyone on defence except neel and lankford.

 

 

Every team has tendencies. If you watch film you can pick out what a team is going to do when in a certain formation. It comes back to execution. If you have the athletes to execute then you will be successful. Playing with below average athletes like #32 and #11 makes it hard to compete with teams with above average athletes. If I were the Qb I would throw to Lankford and Neel as well. Throw to the others and it will be dropped.

I personnally haven't seen Page play. I just know some of the players from when they played Independence last year. If the line is not blocking, the Qb making proper reads, Wr getting open, or the Rbs hitting the right hole then 9 of the 11 should have been benched. Have you ever heard you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. Page needs to learn how to play hard every play. Here is what I know. Coach Daniels is the best head coach in the county and has proved that with the way he turned Brentwood and Ravenwood around. Herzog was D-coordinator for a hillsboro team that went to state championship game 3-4 times under him. Coach Bone is a heck of a line coach maybe the best in middle tennessee. A couple of young coaches that I don't know much about and Coach Lee who I think used to be a head coach. That is a really good high school staff

Page has not looked very strong yet, but they will continue to get better as the season goes on. The coaches will continue coaching the players up...the players have to continue to work to get better.

 

Marshall Co. is solid defensively...something they never were in the Johnson era. Holding Columbia to 3pts. is pretty impressive when you consider their offensive weapons.

 

I think Marshall County is much better than Page at this point in the season. Page might make it a closer game if it were later in the year. Got to be careful about getting on that Marshall County bandwagon, but they have played well the last two games. Marshall County has to feel good about how they are playing right now.

Marshall County rolled last night 35-0...it was 14-0 at half time b/4 a transformer blew out and the lights went down for some time...we thought we were goin to have to come back in the mornin but we decided to play the game when the lights got turned back on at the last second

Well....I just got back in town and talked to some folks. Page still has a way to go and they need to shoot for that 4th playoff spot. Giles is the best team left on the schedule. I heard we were better but wore down.

 

I have to put Marshall with Giles and DL......if Marshall keeps winning they will get mentally tougher.

 

Wasn't too much of a rivalry this year but ....we'll see.
