So what are your thoughts now? did indy come to play? because if it was the same game i saw, they did come to play but that obviouly had no effect on the game. next time dont make dumb comments.

Ehhh, I'm feeling IHS by atleast 7. Franklin has had a hard time scoring, but their defense is still good. It shouldn't be a high scoring game, but a lot of back and forth action.

Okay, only one person predicted a blowout and many people on this board thought that the poster may have been a Franklin fan posting bulletin board material. Nobody in there right mind was going to predict a blowout win for Indy, especially with the way that they have played thus far this year. Go back and look at the posts.

 

As for the game, congrats to Franklin, they dominated every aspect of the game for the most part. To whoever said this game was never in doubt, look back at the beginning of the fourth quarter when the score was 21-16, it looked like Indy had the momentum, and there was def. doubt in a lot of minds.

 

Franklin's defense is just remarkable to watch, they are so fast and swarm to the ball so quickly. Holding Pettigrew to 38 yards was impressive. He couldn't get past the initial line of scrimmage because the defense was so good at swarming the ball. Almost everyone said before the season that Franklin had the best defense in the region, and they were right.

 

Indy, like most of the year has had one reoccuring theme, slow starts. Those will almost always lead to them having to play catch up football. It has to stop happening if this team wants to have the success that it desires. That inital 21-0 lead killed Indy. Indy's offense looked uncomfortable on the field for most of the first half, something that can't happen, and something Franklin obviously had no troubles with.

 

Next week Indy has Memphis East (1-4) for homecoming. Hopefully they will come out fired up for homecoming and strike quickly.

First, I have to restate what I had posted before, that being that REGION 6-5A IS DOWN THIS YEAR DESPITE ALL OF THE INDIVIDUAL TALENT judging by all of the scores throughout the region including this one.

Second, the way Independence is playing now they are going to be on the outside looking in as far as the playoffs are concerned this season. However, they are fully capable of getting into the playoffs, they just need to get their act together and certain people need to start being more consistent.

Third, Franklin seems to have the tools to make the playoffs this season and probably will.

I play left tackle for Franklin and I have to say it is true the score doesn't show the outcome, and we did get a lot of key turnovers. The things we did really good are capitalizing on the turnovers, and finally getting the passing game back. Jarrel Eaton did an excelent job, and so did Keylo Lee. Im suprised that Matt Worley didn't get a chance to utalize his massive stature Friday. And as for Indy22, I'm pretty sure thats Scott Petigrew and his post was more than helpful in our game preparation. By the way, Independence, talking crap at halftime might have lost the game for you. I hope you coach yelling "23-17!" is happy. And, someone tell Rodney Coffey he did an exceptional job rushing against me.

 

I was trying to register earlier this month when I had internet troubles, so I realize this is my first post. But, now that im here I'll try to give my insight to the board.

 

P.S. Congats to Brentwood, I saw the game today on Channel 9.

Just a few words of advice for you: obviously this website is open for anyone but do you really think it looks good on your football teams behalf when a player gets on here and talks down about another team and what not. Also do you really think that Indy22 is Scott Pettigrew because I along with many other people would beg to differ. But who really knows. So do us a favor and do your "talking" on the field by how you and your team play. Good luck the rest of the season though.

obviously i wasn't meaning it in that manner... im not talking trash... I am actually part of a team that does little of that (accept some on the field) I was simply stating that when they say a bunch of crap to us while we're walking in a halftime that that really gives us a reason to win, and if you didnt catch the last part i was also complementing their exceptional DE that was lined up against me... And i hope Ravenwood has the smarts to know that my last comment was meant in a competitive manner. we have a good history of close games and i enjoy every second of it. and even if Indy22 isnt pettigrew i appriciate the little extra help in preperation for that game

Combos, there is no need to thank INDY22 here you can thank him in class on Monday. You know that was not an IHS player, especially not Pettigrew, posting that nor anyone associated with the IHS program. If thats the kind of motivation it takes then so be it but lets not pretend that IHS was involved. Funny how this is the only game in 2 years I have seen that type of post made in an IHS thread...no, wait there was one last year the week of the FHS game vs IHS. hmmmmm

 

Regardless, great game your team executed well in all phases of the game.
