I do. A WB #1 seed gives us home-field advantage. I think it gives it to us for as long as we win.

so ....... GO WILDCATS!!!!!

No Region 1 has quarter finals and Region 3/4 has semi finals (2005 TSSAA change see http://www.tssaa.org/Sports/Football/bracketchanges.pdf ). #1 seed would give you home field for the quarter finals if you end up playing another Region 2 team.

The #1 seed from Region 2 will be home (should they win) for the 1st 2 rounds. Round 3, the Region 1 seed has home field advantage. So the question for WB fans is, do you think a brackett with Bearden, Campbell County, and Ooltewah, is a better brackett (having Campbell County at home, Bearden on the road, and then home for round 3, again asumming that you win) than being the #1 seed, and having Jefferson County at home, Farragut or Kingsport DB at home, and then Bearden on the road in round 3?

The semi-finals for the region 1 2 winner is played on the road at the region 3 4 winner.

Here's a another link ....it is a pdf. 2008 is Regions 2's year. This year is Region 3's year. The only "away" game would be Riverdale (or winner of their bracket) prior to Murf. for the winner of Region 2.

This is what I eluded to on the WB thread, I was just to lazy to type it all .... To me it looks like the #2 seed might be a better road to travel..... /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />

If that means the region 1-2 semi finalist will have to play on the road at Riverdale(most likely), and that ain't good. I think they've lost one game on their home field since they began playing on it.

Actually we have lost exactly three games on our Home field. One each to Lincoln County and Dickson County in the same year no less, and finally lost to Smyrna last year in the playoffs. We made up for the Dickson County and Lincoln County games by beating Lincoln County at the 'Pit' in the playoffs that year in a VERY hard fought game and going on to the state championship.

Farragut fans get their early and enjoy the cooking by Oak Ridge as it is some of the BEST in Tennessee before a football game. Trick is being able to climb back up the 'stairs' being that full! /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Train whistle? HA! That is no mere whistle! More like train SONIC BOOM!

Good luck to both teams for an injury free game this Friday night! BTW it is COLD there in the hollow also so dress warm.

Lost Old Dad, if there is a classier member from middle Tennessee on here, I can't imagine who it is. Even though it would be down at your place, I hope we get to renew our yearly playoff game this year. Good luck and hopefully we will see you soon. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    • Im asking everyone to keep roy whited and his family in your prayers. Coach whited won back to back state championships at white county in 98-99. He is very well liked and respected in this area. For those of you that dont know he went missing 3 days ago. No one knows where he is. His truck was found in a rural part of the county. Thanks again. We are all very concerned.
    • West would be a good team to get behind if they can pull it off again like last year. That championship game last year was awesome.
    • I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.
    • I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!
    • Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
