Well... dang...

South Pitt showed up and probobly was a little annoyed that some people still doubted them after they beat Trousdale. Message Sent.

South Pitt apparently just beat them like a drum in the pride of the southland band. Keep playing like you did against TC and the way you obviously played against FCS. It is gonna be tough for anyone, and I mean anyone to beat South Pitt if South Pitt plays their game. It looks like the only team that is going to beat South Pitt is South Pitt. Best of luck in the next round wheather it is Gordonsville or Lookout Valley.

to FCS you had a solid season. Had some ups and downs this year considering some of the injuries. After that loss to Monterey alot of people left you for dead but you still fought back and claimed a home playoff game. Nothing to hang your heads about in this one, just ran up against a better team.

This isn't a knock on South Pitt because by what I was told the score could have been twice as bad, but I feel for the Seniors at FCS. I don't think that anyone anywhere should have their career end under the mercy rule. Thanks to South Pitt, I was told that the dogs were pulled out early and the play calling went to ball control in the second half.

Old Pirate says congrats to the Pirates on a tremendous victory over an overmatched FCS team. FCS used a ball control offense eating up some time early then Pirates got the ball and it became lights out for the Commanders.

!st play on offense resulted in a 99 yd TD, wow. The Pirates used the run and pass to score at will. OP says the Pirates once again proved their worth. That said, Old Pirate says enjoy until Monday and then it's "back" to work preparing for the team that ended the Pirates season last year, Gville. OP says hopefully the Pirates will reflect back on their game last year and come out Friday and lay it all on the line. OP would like to says congrats to #1 Bibbs after his return from injury. The kid stepped in and played a great game after not playing since the second game.

Old Pirate is just flat out gitty about this team. The MERCY RULE is not OP's favorite thing, lucky for many Pirate opponants,

Old Pirate says congrats to FCS on a fine season.

Congrats to SP. I hope that Region 4 understands that SP is no joke now. Gordonsville better come ready to play, but so better SP. I noticed that TC doubled #21 Weatherspoon for SP, and could not stop him. FCS doubled him and could not stop him. Gordonsville.... you might want to try triple teaming him. Great season FCS and good luck in the coming years.

I just wanted to say that great execution by the players best exemplifies great coaching. I want to give a huge commendation to the SP coaching staff for a very very well preparation for this game. SP tweaked their formations just enough to get them steamrolling on to victory.

I hope that Zone will post #25's amazing hit on the kickoff late in the 4th quarter. #25 put all 140 lbs of his body into the FCS guy and I heard it "smack" all the way in the top of the stands.

Well just got in from the game that wasn't much of a game. Weatherspoon was def. the MVP of this game. No one could stop him if they tried tonight. Congrats Pirates. Keep the games coming, and I'll be back at Beene Stadium next week! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Not surprised by the win. The final score is a bit of a shock. Maybe I should come watch you pick off G'ville. I see a state title in the near future for the Pirates. Not to jinx you, of course. (OK so I don't believe in that anyway) Not sure who can stop them.

HiHo, HiHo, It's to the "Boro we go.... probably.

But I gotta support my region 4 Tigers, Baby!!!

Reaction, I didn't see you tonight. Did you have your Michigan hat on tonight? I saw several people there tonight. Also, what was that little team that was on the field at halftime? That didn't look like the team I saw last week on the field during halftime. Reaction, if I would have known you were there I would have looked you up. Phillip Beene Stadium had a good environment tonight and it was enjoyable watching the game.

People ask me all the time what it means to bow down. Well, what I witnessed tonight was just that. Friendship Christian bowed down in a big way tonight. WOW!

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
