jadguitar06
i think SP made a pretty big statement last night. Anytime the mercy rule gets put on Region 4's #2, thats a great accomplishment. They should be the favorites now.

wuzMP63
No they don't. Yes, they do. SP is the clear favorite, but I wouldn't count out the West. MP has the talent.
wardawg2038
Hate to burst the Mt. Pleasant bubble but the teams from region 5 & 6 have to prove they can win a semi-final game vs a a region 7 or 8 team first. Then worry about South Pitt. After seeing the Pirates and their work I see them as the favorite. It should be illegal to have that much speed at the single A level!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> They are fast and focused. Gordonsville will be their toughest test on the way to the boro, but as long as the Pirates don't beat themselves, turnovers and other mistakes, they are on a collision course with a state title. I agree. MP has speed to burn too though. They don't use it right, but its all over the field.

Halibut
If South Pitt stays focused and plays like they are capable of no one comes with in two touchdowns. I questioned their posters on here about how much they could score on Trousdale and FCS. Trust me if they are clicking on all cylinders and you don't get on top of them early it becomes a feeding frenzy. In 30+ years of watching high school football that is the most skill I have seen on one football team. FCS is not a slow team by any measure but I would bet that SP had 4 people who could outrun our fastest player. #24 big fast back, Stop him #21 can run and catch and absoultely float and make people miss him, they now have number 1 back and I think he is probably faster than any of them. The QB plays poised and manages the team and just uses his weapons. If you watch them or play them you will leave as I did shaking your head in disbelief of the amount of talent on a Single A team. MP could be like that that, if they used all there players the right way.
