The Lv fans really appreciated 56 grabbing his privates and shakin em at the crowd. Id like to see him do it to South Pitt.

Someone's trying to stir the pot. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" He's the only person from LV that's had anything bad to say about Gville.

If the Tigers keep their heads on straight and their heart in it, they have a chance.

If not, it could be bad.

So, here's to hoping that the Tigers keep their heads and hearts in it.

I do love it when we get compared to last years team.. so amusing... and to say we are a around the end running team is not true.. robert with run over you.. so will david jones... as i said before to FCS Gordonsville. better strap ya chin strap's on reall tight and dont blink, or this one could get ugly...spitt's line is doing a awesome awesome job... and a defense that will knock the slober out of ya.. good luck to Gordonsville. I have the upmost respect for your team... and as should we all...... hope to see some of you guys at the game....

Pirate_Mike,

As you suggested, I dropped by to see what's going on over here on ya'lls end!!! Pretty interesting and sounds like the same stuff I hear every week. Does anyone over ya'lls way ever throw the ball??? All anyone is talking about is their running game. I used to go thru G-ville almost every weekend once upon a time so I find this all interesting. Sure hope we get to settle all this at MTSU's stadium in a few weeks!!!

Glad you came. We do have a passing game. Only thing is we have such an amazing running game there is usually no need to pass. However in this game we threw for over 220 yards and 4 TD's and our QB ran one of his own for about 52 yards.

I guess we shouldn't even show up then...

Nah, you need to show up so we can see you bow down.

Well... what can i say.. Its amazing that this is the SAME South Pitt I saw round one verus Gville a year ago.. I mean Gville beat them in every phase of the game... Maybe that beating was the best thing that coulda ever happened to them last year... Hats off to those kids for the strides they have made in a year...

On to the game.... You better believe South Pitt has revenge on there mind... and u combine that with the HIGH powered offense... and the stingy D.... not to mention playing on their home field.... How can you not say they are the favorites.. South pitt has big advantage in speed... but we can contain speed very nicely... What im really worried about is the size of some of our DBs... #21 could have a field day.... I seen some nice videos of him catching balls at the highest point on the times press website... South Pitt just scares me to death... They score so quickly and have so many threats...

Now if i sit here and said i think Gville has he better team id be lying... but Gville has one major advantage that no other 1A team has had all year... they know they can go into South pitt and WIN... they done it last year.... and didnt lose many peices to the puzzle.... I think Gville matches up better than ne 1a team they have played.... I think we can move the ball and put up some points... We have the ability to awnser quick if they do jump out fast..... On D... we cant give up the quick strikes... it takes so much out of you... 7-7 game could get ugly in the blink of an eye against Spitt.... Jus Bend but dont break D.... We jus gotta keep it close into the 4th... and #15 WONT let us LOSE...!!

QUIT LIVING IN THE PAST! THIS IS TODAY AND THE PIRATES ARE A T-E-A-M A VERY WELL MATURED TEAM AT THAT. THEY KNOW WHAT HAS TO BE DONE TO WIN AND THEY ARE GOING TO DO IT THIS YEAR! THEY ARE NOT GOING TO LET ANYONE COME IN THERE HOUSE AND BEAT THEM THIS YEAR! AND THEY CALL THE PIRATES COCKY!

If you would've read the dadgum post, you would've read how they were complimenting SP on how they've matured and improved since last year.

No one from Gville is expecting the same team we saw last year.

Next time, read the entire post and ponder on it a little and maybe you'd understand it. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
