justaOCfan
Nice win at Milan despite a subpar game from some of the starters. Still, a good road win. Dyersburg comes in on Friday and should make for a great game. Gilliam needs to get back in stride to help open the floor for Lee and Gibson. They didn't look to be in sync at all Friday night. They looked worn out. A week to freshen tose legs should help, and don't forget a trip to UC on Saturday night. Haven't seen them this year, but I'm sure tired of hearing about them. Find your rythym Rebels. We will be in the gym with you, and love that Aldo Nova intro music!!! Go Rebels!!!!!!!
pride&tradition
Gilliam's strength is slashing, but he's gone away from that here lately. Seems to be settling IMO. Fair assumption their OCfan. He beings the shooting and occasional drives of Lee and Gibson into the fold when he does so. You can tell by those two productions as of late that he hasn't really done so. Keep it up though Nick and the rest of you Rebels, you're playin' great! Lee and Gibson haven't been doing much scoring lately, and Nick's points have been down. When he slashes and scores, that helps to open up his outside shooting and the 3's for all of them. Smith has done a good job of late in going to the basket, but I think the Rebel's game has to rely on what Nick creates. Not fair to him, but he has been a starter since his freshman year and handles pressure quite well. Harner needs to have a good game cleaning up the boards and forcing the defense to respect his mid range jumper. Owens, gold one night and struggling the next. He looked bad against GC the 1st meeting w/ a multitude of turnovers, but has looked much better as of late. He and Smith were big against Milan last week. When Justin is effective, the floor opens for others as well. Rebels, we are proud of you and will support you 'til the end.
Purple & Gold Standard
The success or failure of this Rebel team and the ones to come under coach Kail is going to be determined by how well they play defense....I know it's not flashy and it's sometimes not very pretty and hard to watch but defense wins championships and Kail understands that....
