Mckenzie Host Mt. Pleasant

Well I'm a Cascade fan. We had a good team this year. We lost to Mt. Pleasant and Jo Byrns. We didn't play very well against JB but we did play a pretty good game against MTP after the first quarter. MTP has a good team and I believe they can prevail against McKenzie if they can cut down on the penalties.

 

All you hear about MTP is Marco Daily but Marco would be just another fast back without his O-line. He is good at following his blocks and his blockers are good at moving people out of the way. If I were giving an MVP award to a player on the MTP team it would be #88. Without him Marco would not have near as many yards. Marco almost always follows #88's block. As least he did in the Cascade game. I don't know if he just had a good game against Cascade or if he plays at that level all the time but from I saw he is a D-1 prospect.

 

Good luck to both teams. We know McKenzie is overrated (Butchie /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> ) so I think Mt. Pleasant wins this one. Whoever wins is going to have there hands full against a powerful South Pit team in the Boro.

On offense we are going to try to score. Defensively we are going to try to stop them from scoring.

Yeah, it does help to have a 6-5 230lb tight end who can catch and block and has a ton of tackles for loss in the playoffs. I must say he might very well be D I as a Junior. He is the best MP prospect. He's definately underutilized offensively. What about #30 though? He is a playmaker. MP has a team of good football players.
