Kicker. Zach Sharp will be kicker for the next 3 seasons.

Punter. Britton and Dustin Colquitts younger brother was a freshmen this past season. Hopefully he will be as good as his older brothers.

Quarterback. Aaron Chamberlain and Philip Juhlin will fight it out for the starting quarterback. Chamberlain has a strong arm. Juhlin is a great athlete.

RB. Thomas Shuler came on strong at the end of last season. I look for Buddy Jones to be the other tailback.

OL. This will be the most experienced part of the offense. Marcuse Englehardt,Brad Coulter and Dylan Beets are returing starters. Taylor Stinnett started a few games when Caleb West was out. Hopefully some of those big sophomores will step up. Cody Norton and Dillon Murphy are huge kids.

WR. Chris Jordan is a very good receiver. Others need to step up. Kody Harris and Zane Winders will probably be the favorites. I also heard about a transfer from Virginia.

DL. Justin Smith is the only starter coming back. Brad Heath should get a lot of playing time. Dane McCoy will probably be a starter at DT.

LB. All three starters are back.

DB. Chris Jordan is the only starter back but that is misleading. Tyler Martin and Jamal Brazen started games because of injuries. Will Lairmore played a lot at safety this year. If Mason Trenda can come back it will be huge. He is a great athlete.

The pieces are there for another outstanding team.

Greg Colquitt is actually a cousinnephew in the First Family of Fourth Down and has been getting some family tutoring in the trade.

My bad then. I remember reading Volquest back in the summer. Brent Hubbs had said that Greg Colquitt was Britton and Dustins younger brother. I hope Greg can punt like his cousins one day. It would be awesome to have a great kicker and punter.

Rebelron with our offense, we never have to worry too much about wearing out a punter anyway. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

I think Quarles is happy where he is.

I also beleive Maryville will be fine next year and are very likely to experience another 15-0 season, but you never know if another team has a world of talent and a great year. Lets not forget in 2005 Maryville had to replace 10 of 11 starters on offense including a new QB. I believe MHS rolls.

I can gurantee that next years players are already working hard to continue the success that Maryville has enjoyed these past years .They have enough talent to win next year they just have to put it all together and that is what the coaching staff will take care of /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
