Gotta love that Middle Tennessee bias. Might want to do a little more homework on your Division 2 rankings. Lausanne has beated your #4 and #8 ranked teams in AAA, and is undefeated in the state, losing only to national powerhouses in the Tournament of Champions.

 

 

Certainly no Middle Tennessee Bias from this voter in Northwest Tennessee. Admittedly I know very little first hand about D-2 teams with none in my area. I depended on information from others and voters from Middle & East lobbied more for their teams. All of the Top 3 are apparently very good. Best of luck on the floor to all of them since that's where it really counts.

Don't have to be from Middle or East Tennessee to have a bias towards those teams if by your own admission you are relying on others and people lobbying you from these areas. I couldn't agree with you more in that the only thing that matters is on the court, and if you just examine who some of these teams have played, including out of state competition, it will tell you a lot.

AA girls may be a little off.. Gibson Co. not quite ready for #1 yet.. Obion Central girls should be around #7 or so.

Keep them ladies hungry so they'll improve /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

 

Upperman Lady Bees definately should be in the top 5 ..

Maybe if there was more input from West Tennessee including on this site, they'd get more recognition. Nobody's stopping anyone from posting about the good players and teams out there.

 

 

Plenty is written on here about the West Tn teams, including the Memphis teams. Does anyone post more than coachgat? And if people watch the scores they can tell who is beating who, especially when different parts of the state play each other. It will all work out in the wash when the state tournament rolls around

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Upperman is not a top 5 team.......They are still a quality AA club and a team that could make some noise in Feb and March...........Still a little work to be done..........

Your pretty close to posting as much as coachgat......... /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> There is no doubt the AP poll is useless and means nothing. A poll is only as good as the information provided to the voters......And unless you travel across the state and watch all the teams or have access to watch them through film, the poll is below average at best......

      Actually that young kid was in an offense that loved to throw the ball I believe.    Biggest problem for MC is if the coaching staff can figure out which mouths to feed at the appropriate time.

      Have you ever been in education (administration) or a head coach? You’re responsible for all aspects of your program. If you were not checking the kids information correctly and left it up to someone else and they mess up. You’re held liable because it’s a failure on supervision, implementation of TSSAA eligibility and your school’s eligibility. Remember the wording in the article for him “CONTRACT NOT RENEWED” coaches are on a year to year contract and don’t sign the contract again until July. Do I believe he still should’ve been let go? Yes because you’re responsible for the total program and should be aware of everything going on. Do I believe he knew about the grade changes? No and that’s because nobody brought his name up until things got really bad and there is no indication with any paperwork showing he did. It’s just word of mouth from a teacher trying to cover herself.

      TSSAA won't ever issue a death penalty, worst case scenario would be a post-season penalty that makes Clinton ineligible for the playoffs for a year or two (I believe 3 years is the most I have ever seen).  But TSSAA only does that in extremely rare circumstances.

      I just want to echo that sentiment. Coach Woodmore is a good man and he is going to do things the right way and expect these kids to do things the right way. He will help grow them into fine young men. The wins will follow. I think Bolivar hit a home run.
