Gerry Bertier
So the 3 v 6 and 4 v 5 matchups have been determined. Montgomery Central will travel to Creekwood. Fairview and Harpeth will be playing for homefield for the play-in game. Fairview needs to split to host, while Harpeth will need to sweep Monday. Barring any upsets the other two match-ups will be Cheatham at Sycamore and Stewart at Waverly, which will be a battle of probably the best two pitchers in the district this year. ballbasher30
next week's distrcit tournament should have some great pitching match ups for the play-in games. 7 Stewart Co (Pierat) at 2 Waverly (Purcell) 6 Mont. Central (Mills) at 3 Creek Wood (Tucker) Harpeth (Johnson) against Fairview (Adkinson) seeds still to be determined These three games have potential to be outstanding pitching duels if the teams pitch who is expected to pitch. It would not be out of the possiblities to have the top seeds go down in the play in games. Only one that should be a cake walk is Sycamore over Cheatham. Having seen all of these teams in action this should be a very enjoyable distrcit tournament. By the way, who is hosting the tournament this year after the play in games are done? ksgovols
Truly, Stewart County is very tough with Pieratt on the mound. They don't need much in the way of run production when he is on. This is a dangerous game for Waverly in a single elimination game.

statebound15
It should be an interesting first round match up between waverly and stewart, with their two aces facing each other. personally i would like to see stewart make the upset. lol!
