Okay, the plot thickens!! I think Waco and Bud are the same person!! /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" /> Because if they weren't, Waco would surely crown him Mo-Ron of the freakin century for even remotely down playing the success of Maryville. And, since he agrees with him (100% might I add), they ARE the same person!!

Busted /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> . I can??™t deny that 700 wins is a BIG feather for the hat, but imagine how it feels to walk around with a State Championship ring on EVERY finger. Or to be able to say that you have taken on all comers and only lost 3 games in 10 years. They don't have to beat these boards to death trying to convince everyone that they are bad and deserve recognition. That record doesn't need any explanation...it speaks for itself./thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

The only one that doesn't seem to be able to read the writing on the wall is BUD /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> .

Maryville goes through pretty much the same thing we go through up here on these boards, Visit one of their threads sometime. People in Knoxville and Blount Co. are always spinning against Maryville. Im just having a hard time figuring out what Maryville has to do with the argument. I mean you people are South and Tennessee high fans. You are the ones that has to worry about Maryville. We don't play Maryville. you do. GET IT? /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

You and Monica Lewenski are the same person. You already admitted that one. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

I love 03 and Cap1's attempt to twist my words. Go back and read. Where did I "down play" or take away from Maryville. My point is Maryville has had the best 10 year run of any team as far as championships go. But they are not always and usually are not the best team in the state in "all divisions". I would say that once in the past 10 years has Maryville truely had a team that would beat all teams in every classifications. Sorry, but untill you are familiar with the level of ball in the mid state and the large private schools year in and out, you can forget about it. The only reason South fans even like to talk about Maryville is because they whipped you , you know DB would whip you too, so you pull out the old "well Maryville would beat you" because it makes you feel better about your dream season being humiliated by Maryville. I will not take away from Maryville in any shape, form, or fashion, but if you are seeking the truely best teams year in and out, it is usually a private school. Another reason why Upper NE TN ball clubs get waed is because they are like you guys, they have no idea that the other areas of the state play on another level, even in average seasons. So instead of doing something about it, you continue to play weak teams year in and year out. At least Region 5A usually has4 schools that would Rule your region any year. Go play Oak Ridge or somebody, instead of Happy Valley. So South fans can stare in awe of Maryville and brag on Maryville until TN High knocks you off your block, which will happen soon. Then you can talk about that imaginary victory over DB in 2007.

I can't and will not say that DB could beat Maryville in football. I do know that most years both teams give each other a very good scrimmage, which is why that series continues. I do believe that win or lose DB would give them a very good game and it would go to the final seconds. You can say what you want about DB in the playoffs but every team that goes up against DB knows their in for a hard fought game that will probably go down to the last play. Be it Oak Ridge, MBA, Ootewah, Riverdale, Oakland, William Blount, or Red Bank. Ask any of those previous coaches or players that have ever played against the Tribe. They will tell you. It would be no different against Maryville. Win or lose we would gime them a good game that would go down to the final seconds. Thats just one more thing that South and Tennessee High can not say. You don't have what it takes to compete at that level so you hate on anybody that does.

We should do well this year with growth in almost all areas. But I have to say that the objective for this year (besides the obvious win the conference and get to the Maryville game /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> ) is to beat KINGSPORT...all of um, especially DB!! This will be my youngests last...so why not be the first. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Hey Cap I was told tonite that you played for DB, is that true? Why do you want to beat us so bad then? Last year you had your chance and blew it. Good luck this year.

Sorry Plowboy??¦the Viking blood runs deep in this household. To the best of my memory my freshman year was the last year for the Big 10 conference. After we had to get a police escort out of Erwin they kicked them out. My senior year I sprang my ankle in the Daniel Boone game right before the DB game so I didn??™t get to play much in the last game of the season. We lost a close one on a cold rainy night at DB 6 to 7. I never thought about it but you may be right??¦I probably still hold a SMALL competitive grudge /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" . And then there was the 05??™ game against the Indians when my oldest laid flat on his back after (what I believe to be) the BIGGEST HIT I HAVE EVER SEEN IN HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL while running a crossing pattern. He suffered a similar injury to his ankle the game before. It was also his senior year. I would just like to see one person in my household defeat the mighty Indians of DB. After last years game it would seem like the Vikings are zeroing in on a victory, although I AM mindful of what happened to South the year after they almost pulled one out in 05??

Even though parts of the games were questionable, you and 'Betsy are the only ones to know the comparison of the '07 Indians and the '07 Rebels.

DB did gain momentum as the 07??™ year progressed, but I for one don??™t think they had what it would take to stop Curt and crew. Even with Graham Clark??™s famous half time adjustments I would have went with South in a close one. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

DB did gain momentum in 07,especially with Sensabaugh in the backfield. But with Ring at QB who could not scrambble or hit recievers that were wide open,I think South would have won the game easily. (IMO) Had it not been for a late fumble at THS last year,THS I think would have won that game too.DBs offense was out of sync with the ridiculous no huddle offense they were trying to run. They will be alot better this year. I guess somebody had you confused with another person. It seem they knew exactly when you played at DB. Oh well. I do remember a big hit in the middle of the field but forgot who was involved.
