As a sidelight to this and looking at it from quite a distance away, how will this change the standings in that area?

Not much in the up-coming season, maybe a tad more speed on defence. Otherwise, just another set of fresh legs on the base line, on offence.

However, the following year with the graduation of Snow, Phillips, Lowe, and Green, the addition of Heady will go a long way to ease the rebuilding process.

I think miss heady and her parents ought to determine what is best for her, and they have what I'm wondering what will the buffalo faithful that critisized JC so harshly last season and used that for excuse for losing 5 times to the JC team will say. Some of them even said accepting transfers was cheating but this is not first for clarkrange to have transfers and probably won't be last because Lamar runs class programs that win and players want to play for him.

Senator well said. As I study about this, in college you have a sports scholarship that usually pays everything. Now if someone wants to go somewhere else they do set out one year. But they are making a hardship on this college team because they have turned down someone else in order to give this person a schlorship. Not so in high school, you have a different situation. When a player moves to another school there was no aid involved, no one denied a chance to be on the team because of this outstanding player. We expect our better students to want the best education. Well many if not most of these exceptionally talented players come from poor homes. To move to upperman, jc, or clarkrange and be in the best systems, allows them to have a chance to showcase their talents, and to pursue a college funded education. Don't forget that these parents make, sometimes a hard financial decision, so their kids can have a better opportunity. 7A is the top district in the state, has been for 20 to 25 years and there is always , people who critisize those on top. They do come to the best managed and most successful schools. This for now is still america.

Well I certainly understand the young ladies' desire to play with the best....and I wish her the best.....both JC and Clarkrange are quickly becoming all-star teams and this does make it incredibly difficult for typical Class A schools to compete with them, but we will sure give it our best!!! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Aunt Kim, your girls got there state championship with all homegrown lady rockets, Right???? Keep working hard and it will work out. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Do not care what anyone says moves like this is bad for high school basketball! TSSAA needs to stop this, if players transfer make them sit out a year just like college. If I am running Monterey High School no way on earth does this parent coach my schools football team!

One thing you made me think of that I had not earlier considered, Ty. It may be hard for this coach to sell his football players on team loyality now.

Obviously, you don't know Monterey football. I know it first hand. If every coach put the dedication and time that he puts in his team, their programs would be much better. He works as hard or harder than most coaches and it has shown in Monterey since he took over. Look at the crowd 5 years ago to now; everything has improved. His players will have respect for him no matter what. I dont think Monterey football will suffer at all with this. Next, I think the coaching probably has a little to do with the move anyway. No offence to Hess, but it rarely works when you have a coach that doesn't even teach there. There is constantly missed practices and you just can't be in the atmosphere enough. Molly is a dedicated player and is constantly in the gym. I think she just wants to be somewhere where everyone around her has the same level of dedication for the sport. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

I really didn't even think of it that way but your point is well taken, I feel as the coach has showed no loyality to the school at which he is employed.

They have a very good coach. Hope it works out for him and his daughter.

It must be nice to have an athletic child so talented that parents will make a move so they can play for another school..Don't know much about the situation with me being in West Tenn..Are the schools pretty close in distance..If her parents are together a move would have to take place or she would have to sit out a year since this wouldn't be her freshman year and already having an athletic record in basketball...If parents are divorced..she would be allowed to play..So..what's the deal..are parents moving ?But it's tough being in a small town and school..Lake Co has lost several star basketball players and a star football player to Dyer co and Dyersburg in the past several seasons and it is tough and a lot of ill will a lot of times..
