Funny, everyone looks at the same video, yet ask them to share what they saw and you'll get 100 different answers.

I saw a goalie who failed to collect two balls.

Yes, two balls she failed to collect and went in the back of the net allowing Oak Ridge to move on and Farragut to go home. So no matter what, there is only one answer looking at this video, Oak Ridge 2 Farragut 1. The point I think the poster was trying to make was everyone on this board is saying Oak Ridge will have no offense this year without Howell and will have a tough time scoring, this video shows that 2 scores came about against a tough Farragut team that beat them earlier in the season, and the only time Howell is involved is in the end with the celebration.

Actually, I wouldn't consider that offense....just luck

Or..........if you are a Collierville fan, just excellent execution by the offense. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> I don't care who you are, if you underestimate either Oak Ridge or their coach, you're going to probably come away with a loss.

I thought the comments were directed towards what great goals these were per the video.

They were both shots that should have been handled and were muffs by the GK and the follow up was what I consider garbage goals, tap ins for you basketballers or even better, a layup.

I don't think Collierville has had any trouble handling Oak Ridge- a nice clean record.

This is crazy, a goal is a goal no matter how ugly or how pretty it was scored. Someone had to do her job or be where she was supposed to be in order to score the goal. Everytime a goal is scored someone got beat and someone performed that is the nature of soccer. Obviously I am not rooting for Oak Ridge since my daughter goes to Powell, but to belittle a score the girl made is wrong, she had to be in the right place at the right time in order to score!

Global warming.

Its demographics and city economics .plus getting the rec department to embrace soccer after the "mud tourney in Oct 03 has left some bad tastes. More young families are moving into west knoxville. The soccer numbers are down in AYSO and SCOR for those age groups as well. The basketball numbers are down, the cross country and swimming are also down. So its an off year across the board. There will be a pickup after this year. There is a U12G Krossfire team that is absolutely blessed with talent. There could be 5-6 freshmen when the current group are seniors. Try and take the high road, for the good of the kids and the game. Its easy to tear people down if it makes you feel better about yourself. But that is not very sporting and we are talking about children. This year the team will be OK, but next year they will need a keeper.

No credit taken away from the young lady that scored those goals, but if that is an example of the offense you are banking the season on you may wish to reassess.

yep...excellent execution, don't underestimate any opponent.

Tell me how easy it is to tap it in or lay it upu with your head. With a broken arm. Im not putting great kids up on this board to be demeaned by classless adults. Hats off to Powell and good luck this year.

Broken arm? Our players don't play with their hands

Socref1 I saw OR play last year and saw some of their club players this spring. OR will be more than OK. Sometimes when you lose a great player like Trenna the rest of the team will pick up their play to take up the slack.

Good Luck with your season this year.

It appears ORHS is getting closer all the time, a tie or 1 goal game is obviously a game where both teams were evenly matched, evidentally both teams know how to play defense.

I'm not trying to tear anyone down, I had just heard some stuff about OR and their coach, and I wanted to get some more info from someone who has first-hand knowledge. When you hear stuff about a program, and you see the numbers drop so dramatically, rumors start floating around, and questions will arise.

This year the team will be OK, but next year they will need a keeper.

Didn't you guys have three keepers last year? What happened to them?

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
