barcelona
Cookeville 3 Livingston Academy 0 Neither Kat Nigro (LA) nor Kelsey Roberson (Cookeville) played, so spectators missed out on what would have been a great individual matchup. KeeperFan15
Blackman 6 Lincoln County 0 5 of the 6 different scorers in no particular order Smith, Reese, Terry, L. Howser, Zeis. Blackman started slow, but looked decent once they got into the flow. Formerly injured players still looking to regain touch, and looked like the first time they played after a full day of school. Seemed to be playing to feet for the most part. It was pretty cool watching sets of sisters distributing to each other with the obvious knowledge of where the other was going to be. Harris and Howard split the goal duties 80/20 and were not really challanged. LC played well but was just out manned. Just don't have a many horses in the stable as they have in years past. Their keeper duo made some good saves that kept the first 40 close. 2-0 at half. Save for the snake /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> on the spectator side, the new field looked as good as 1 yr old field can look. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

ws6transam30
Powell 3 Anderson County 0: Powell Coach still Experimenting, to see what he has for back-ups, will be interesting to see how things go this weekend in Chattanooga. I believe we will be playing Franklin in one of the games. Hoping he has it figured out before Monday, since we open the District play against West. Offense looking scary good, Mid field solid to potentially excellent, Defense will be solid if he puts the right girls in and in the positions they are acustomed to playing in Club play. 2 solid Keepers to alternate time in goal. Keeping fingers and toes crossed that he has it figured out,........

feverpitch
Thursday Notre Dame 3 Darlington Academy 0 (Rome Ga) Baylor 2 Soddy Daisy 0 More info on the Baylor/Soddy game, please. Is Soddy that good, or did Baylor refuse to play any starters? I thought Baylor was supposed to be the best in the state with all of the seniors returning. It could be that Soddy is a much better team than I remembered hearing, though...
soccermom127
Houston High School played Briarcrest this afternoon in a scrimmage....with very surprising results for Houston. Briarcrest defeated Houston 5 to 0 in the Varsity game while the JV game had Briarcrest win with a 1 to 0 score. Both games played only a half each (35 mintues for the JV game and 40 minutes for the Varsity game) with Briacrest being up 3 to 0 half way through the half and scoring an additional 2 goals during the 2nd portion of the half.
