Couple of questions re: new players: How is the Weatherly kid from Lenoir City progressing? The Kid that moved over from Heritage, name?, has to set out first 10 games, how is he doing? I believe he is a Soph with a lot of ability.

I will give Seymour credit. They played tough! They will be a great team this year, mark it down.

Maryville didn't play Shuler at all. The 1st string didn't play long. Maryville tried to pass almost every down. Buddy Jones ran it 1 time and gained 15 yards. Marcus Englehardt didn't play. He will be ready next week. I also think Philip Julian will be the starting quarterback next week at Halls. Maryville hasn't looked crisp on offense. They move it well at times but have too many breakdowns. Maryville will struggle early until the coaching kicks in.

 

Alcoa looked very impressive. There is no relief in sight for other 2A teams fans. They can run waves of running backs at you. Look for them to be in Murfreesboro again.

 

 

shuler acctually did play in their quarter. at one time they had 21 and 25 in the backfield and i know shuler is 21.

Seymour did look really good..There throwin game wasnt really good but there runnin backs ran the ball great..Keegan Newport played very well having 6 tackles and a interception return for a touchdown, but was called back for a clip..
