Couldn't have said it better. Yoak, you're welcome to one of my Dr. Enufs before the game. I don't know how busy you'll be, but come on over to the grills behind the fieldhouse and ask for the King. I'll be wearing my Vietnam hat /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

You don't want to talk to Coach Yoakum or Coach Hall before a game. Especially a region one. Yoak's hateful as all get out, and Hall's very likely to puke on you. I love em both, but Fall Friday's there bout worthless up until kickoff! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

It is going to be a heck of a ball game. I think this is going to be a shootout forget about the defense.

I agree I think it will be a great game but you cant forget about the defense! If you did I wouldnt have a job! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> And thats bad when you have an 11 month old that goes through milk like mine does! /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />

It all comes down to blocking, tackling, and taking care of the football. Coaches can watch tapes and come up with a scheme or whatever, but no offensive or defensive scheme will work unless the fundamentals are applied. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

1/2 a day and a wake-up baby!My class is gone to lunch /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" /> so I have to find something to do and I dont know what else to say because its all been said! King my friend you are exactly right, coaches can do everything in their power to get the boys ready but it ultimately does come down to the boys! No matter what happens tomorrow night Im sure it will be a heck of a game to watch, to bad I have to watch it and not enjoy it, at least not till I see it again on film, and even then it might not be so attractive to me! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Buddy, there nothing that will make a coach happier than watching players on his team execute and giving 100% effort. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Hey Yoak, if you want some entertainment, go to the 4A-5A board and you will see the King standing up for the little schools. People from THS and Elizabethton are belittling us and I'm doing some "CLASSIC KING" trash talking. Just go to the Johnson Co. vs Elizabethton thread. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
