blackmans defense will certainly have to make a heck of alot of plays...and hope riverdale fumbles the ball alot like against oakland.

blackman isnt as good as i thought they would be thus far (hard to say with them at 2-0) and riverdale is just about where i expected. i think riverdale can mount the big drives and go the length of the field while blackman will rely more on the big "gamebreaker" type plays. both are improving and havent caught their stride yet

With all the internal and external bickering at Blackman, I say they self-destruct this week against a rejuvenated Warrior team.

Like i said in my other post on the Blackman vs. LC thread, there is only TWO folks who are bickering (your words) at Blackman. A dad and his son. Most others are very happy that we are 2-0 and are excited to be able to play Riverdale. You need to get the real scoop of what is going on. It's pretty much a non issue. And if it last much longer (the attitude of the dad and the son), it really will be a non-issue if you know what i mean. Players are playing, coaches are coaching, fans are cheering, things are good. If Blackman loses to Riverdale, it will not be because their are internal and external bickering.

i hope you are right...like you were last week predicting the blackman vs. lincoln county score /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Juse because Riverdale lost to Oakland, everyone thinks they can just take Riverdale down. Riverdale is still the team to beat until the someone else finishes number 1.

Blackman will lose by atleast 2 TDs I promise.

I judged the Blackman game off how they played a very bad Lavergne team.

    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
    • They do have good community support for sure and did when I coached under Z for 4 years. (I was on that staff that turned them around a little from winning 1 game a year to actually being competitive).  Great Kids and Great Community over there.  They have done some good things with the facilities from when i coached too.
    • I personally will not mind that one bit.  It seems like a really strange fit to me from the git go.
