Scott vs. Livingston

Livingston played AE tough, and Scott is coming off a tough loss to a good Fulton team. LA has been steadily improving all season. Scott has won the games they should win, but still have yet to get the signature win they so desire. Livingston is due a win and they do have home field advantage. Scott has some very good players at the skill positions, and are solid, but not great on the line. This has all the makings of a close game.

Scott: 24

LA: 21

Yes LA has improved as the year has went on and the D is the heart of the team. The last two games if they play in the first quarter who knows what the outcome may have been but it seems they spot a couple of touchdowns before they show up. I am very proud of the heart this bunch of kids has shown and agree that this should be an exciting game to watch. I am hoping it is a W for the old Hog-Eye.

The defense did play well. Now we just got to get some offense going.

The defense has showed improvement. About your playing the first quarter statement that is why 4 quarters are played. As much trouble as the offence has had this year LA can't afford to spot anybody anything. This will probably be a close game with Scott Co winning. I think they only lost to AE by like 7 or 8. If the offence can produce at all LA might get the years first win.

You may not like hearing how difficult LA's schedule is, but is a fact that LA has had the toughest schedule in the state for the last 3 or 4 years. That is not a cliche. That is the facts. You can find that information on this website under schedule strength.

Having said that, I think LA has improved from what I have seen and heard. I do think LA can win this game, as well as a couple more left on the schedule. I do expect to witness a LA victory this Friday night.

LA - 22

SC - 21

I know LA has struggled since winning the State title, but you make a good point with their schedule. I have always respected your athletic program. I think Scott and Livingston are simliar in many ways. Two rural shcools competing in the states toughest district! That is no easy task.

I look forward to the long winding trip down HWY 52 for the game. Still sticking to my earlier prediction. Scott by 3.

I understand that they have a tough schedule. I just get sick of hearing about it. Tough enough to go 2- 24 or whatever it is in the last 3 seasons? I don't think so. Win some games and quit whinning!

That's right, WE. I guess you think I don't love LA because I don't agree with everything on these boards.

Livingston Academy's JV team defeated Upperman last night 28-6. This may go down as one of the fastest football games in football history. I don't think I have ever seen a football game take less than hour to play. This one was about 57 minutes. That includes a 5 or 6 minute halftime. 8 minute quarters with pretty much a running clock. JR B Outlaw games normally take about 45 minutes, but high school this one was the quickest for me. As for the game, good performance by LA especially the "D". 2 interceptions, one by Daniel Robinson run back to the one yard line and the other by Ricky Lisi for a TD. LA seem to have little trouble with the Upperman spread.

It might have been 50 to 6 if the clock hadn't run continuously. That might have been the reason. Ya think. One of Upperman's players was injured on the pick by Robinson. At first he had no movement in his arms or legs. But later he finally moved which is a good sign. Hopefully he just had a severe stinger. Someone said that he landed on his head trying to make the tackle. LA nation extends thoughts and prayers to the injured player. Hopefully he will be OK.

Our youngsters played well last night. We had several kids that stepped up their game which included....Dylan Roberts..Christian Dillon...Paul Daniels...Ricky Lisi....David (Billy) Winningham...Tyler Peek....Daniel Robinson..Dylan Ashlock..to go along with the kids that have played good all year.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
