Show me wher,I downed our QB? You are a sore loser and joke for a couple of reasons:1..don't get off the real reason your mad,you all were overhyped by everybody, most of all farragut university and a couple of others like you. Farragut had no answer for our DEFENSE and everybody in east tn knew Ooltewah was going to run and you had no answer for that either.NEWSFLASH!!! Owls are not a good passing team, but when a QB throws for 80 yds and that is enough to rattle your VAUNTED 3-5-3 defense, come on man,get real!! 2nd of all,I feel sorry for your QB(if you want to get upset w/ somebody get upset with your coach).........Rodney King DIDNT GET BEAT UP THAT BAD!!!!!

Go back and read the Mapple Wood game message how about Bradley game message and McMinn game. I knew Ooltewah was going to be a tuff game. I think it amazing all the Brady fans now. Good job kid thought you played a good game tonight and the running back to. Maybe the Owl go getters will get behind you now.

this game reminded me of a Big Ten/SEC game being Farragut-Big Ten and Ooltewah-SEC. Ooltewah had way too much talent and team speed for Farragut to contend with. They had no one on the Offensive line that could block Jacqueze Smith. He dominated the line the whole night. It also seemed the Farragut was about 2 steps too slow in trying to tackle RB Mathew Polk. Farragut's Offense is vastly overated and could do nothing to Ooltewah. You Farragut fans that say you want Ooltewah again, you need to think twice. You do not match up with Ooltewah very good. Face it, you are an overrated, overhyped team from Knoxville that recieved way too much credit. Your coach made a complete ###### out of himself with what he did tonight. I agree with standing up for your players, but that play had nothing to do with the outcome of the game. All your fans did all night was complain about how bad the refs were, that they wasnt protecting poor little Johnny. Was this a football game or was it a powderpuff game. Come on, the refs had nothing to do with the outcome of this game. You guys were just dominated and you cant handle that. It looks like all this success you had this year with your record and you rankings went to the parents heads also. What you saw from Farragut tonight was a team that went into total meltdown...fighting in your own huddle, then fighting with your assistant coach, #30 should be kicked off the team. More than likely, you will get your wish and get a rematch with Ooltewah, but I hate to say, it probably will be the same outcome. Way too much team speed by Ooltewah.

1. I agree Ootlewahs overall speed was too much for farragut.

2. We got punched in the mouth and they made us like it.

3. I was apart of the '95 farragut team and I was embarrased by the attitude of some of the farragut fans.

4. I played for coach courtney and he is a class act. I've known him since '92 and that was the 1st time I had seen him that mad.

As far as the game, farragut tried to finesse a victory and Ootlewah came straight at them man-to-man. You can't win them all and IF this team regroups then this L was worth it, better now than in November. The incident looked bad for #30, but I know exactly what happened and no he shouldn't be kicked off the team PERIOD. hindsight is 20-20, but for a team like Ootlewah, farragut needs to stay in the I-formation work the middle with #47 and then hit the recievers down the field.

bottom line farragut got beat and they have to deal with the fact they got out-played by a team who just lined up and blew them up on both sides of the ball. The parents need to stop blaming refs for getting beat 31-3. This is when you find out who your true leaders, teammates and fans are. And to the owl fan who said that farragut doesn't want to play the owls again, yea we do and i guarantee the outcome won't be the same slick

Thanks for this accurate post Boi. I think Coach Courtney is a class act. Although Coach Sweetalnd said they "had seen them on film and Knew" I am not sure anyone KNEW this outcome. You guys got Soddy next week right? I may be wrong but I don't think Coach Courtney will be able to coach on the field at that game after getting ejected. I know someone will correct me if I am wrong but will he? What is the rule? No I don't think the outcome will be the same when and if we play again BUT MAYBE. The different in talent speed and sorry even the coaching (for this game) was obvious. Come on back down to the nest. And please don't call me SLICK..I prefer LOVEHSFOOTBALL cause ya gotta love it The refs had NOTHING to do with that win. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

This was from the CHATTaNOOGA FREE PRESS

There will be a new No. 1 team in Tennessee??™s Class 5A high school football, and the way they played Friday night, it might well be Ooltewah??™s Owls.

They bombarded Farragut??™s visiting Admirals 31-3.

Top-ranked Farragut entered the Region 2-5A game at Ooltewah sporting a 7-0 record and scored on its first drive. But the Admirals lost star running back De??™Andre Purty to an injury in the first quarter and quarterback Reese Browning was harassed and hurried all night by the ninth-ranked Owls??™ front seven.

Farragut didn??™t come close to scoring again until the game??™s waning seconds.

The win boosted Ooltewah into a tie atop the region standings with Soddy-Daisy, which beat Oak Ridge. Ooltewah plays at Oak Ridge next week, when Soddy-Daisy hosts Farragut. The two Hamilton County teams will then meet in the regular-season finale with the region title possibly hanging in the balance.

???Farragut is a good football team,??? Ooltewah coach Benny Monroe said, ???but I knew they would have trouble with our defensive line, and I felt like we would be able to move the ball on them.???

The Owls sacked Browning seven times and limited the Admirals to 187 yards of total offense.

One of the sacks led to the ejection of Admirals coach Eddie Courtney, who was pleading for a roughing-the-passer call with six seconds left in the third quarter. The official heard enough and tossed a penalty flag toward the Farragut coach. Courtney tossed the flag back toward the official and got another unsportsmanlike penalty, after which he hurled his clipboard toward the sideline. He was then escorted away by field security.

Led by Jaquez Smith??™s two sacks, the Owls limited Browning to 10 completions in 28 attempts (and 113 yards) and picked off two of his passes.

???We??™re the fantastic four,??? tackle Que Jackson said of Ooltewah??™s defensive line, which is completed by tackle Brandon Bruell, a converted fullback, and Kevin Adams.

???They came in averaging 38 or 39 points per game, and we held them to three. We practiced really hard this week. You do that, you get good results.???

The game was a battle of wills early with Farragut determined to pass from its no-huddle spread offense and Ooltewah wanting to play smash-mouth up front in trying to spring quick-footed running back Mathew Polk.

???For the first time in years, our offensive line was bigger than their defensive line, and I felt we would be able to run on them,??? Monroe said.

The Owls handed the ball to Polk on seven of their first eight plays. He ended up with 163 yards and three touchdowns on 28 carries/

???We were trying to get some field position so we could spread it out,??? Monroe explained.

Once they did, it was Polk cutting back and darting off the hips of his line and squirting through the arms of would-be tacklers.

???The offensive line was really physical tonight, and I tried to play smart. I hit the holes,??? Polk said.

Following Brad Galloway??™s 44-yard field goal for Farragut almost nine minutes into the game, Ooltewah scored 31 unanswered points ??” beginning with a Polk score, a 26-yard pass from Brady Reed to Zack Zarzour and John Long??™s 42-yard field goal.

The Owls were close again late ??” a fourth-and-7 at the Admirals??™ 20-yard line ??” and Monroe declined a final scoring opportunity.

The coach has to sit out minimum one game. No coaching on the field or press box. I don't think he can even be at the game.

I don't think coach courtney will be able to coach @ soddy if the rule is the same for coaches as it is for players. Eventhough Ootlewah has more athletes, the game looked as if it was going to tilt farraguts way on the drive that led to a field goal. the speed on the offense wasn't the problem as much as the speed of the ootlewah defense was. if the offense could have moved the ball and kept the defense off the field some, maybe #22 wouldn't have hurt us as bad.

the old saying that offense wins games and defense win championships couldn't have been anymore appearant than last night for farragut. i really don't think the coaches could've seen that one coming, but that's apart of football- a little humility never hurt anyone. anyway, i'm looking forward to possibly having the opportunity to make the trip back down to the nest for the playoffs. I can honestly say all the fans i encountered were 100% class. too bad i can't say the same for SOME of our fans. oh yea...my apologies for the slick comment. i really don't get into the whole e-beef thing. Good game owls!

If these two teams meet again in the playoffs; I doubt very seriously you will see this kind of spread in the score. Farragut is a better team than the Owls saw last night. I would expect a real tough match up if they play again. Even with that said, this game was entirely one-sided. It is time for the posters to move on to the next week. No reason to trash talk the coach at Farragut; I've seen him for years and never seen anything like it. We are all capable of making a mistake and sounds like he's owned up to it. Pretty classy and honest in my opinion.

Congratulations to the Owls; they deserved this win... obviously. As weak as they have looked in previous weeks offensively, this is the most balanced they have looked all year, and it was done against a very good Farragut team. Maybe they will put something together; who knows.
