Man, when I said this was gonna be a fun year....I had no idea!

 

3 years ago Oneida traveled down to Greenback to battle for the 4th spot in Region 2. 3 years later, the battle is for the Region 2 Championship....The LAST Region 2 championship. Two great teams. Two awesome coaches and coaching staffs! The only two Region 2 teams to ever win a state championship.

 

The Cherokees showed a running game last night. The Indian secondary has done very well vs Cumberland Gap and Watertown, two very good passing teams. This IS Friday night football. Better savor this one boys. This is why you play the game.

Whooooo here we go....Oneida and greenback are both undefeated going into week 10 and both are ranked respectively. This game is for the region Championship. What a Halloween night this will be. Let's get it going.

I also think this IS the game of the year. I have plenty of respect for both teams, the way they represented theirselves and their school when they came to Harriman was unbelievable. Thanks to both teams for a great game. But who cares about Harriman right now! I say this will be a very close game and a great one but I have to go with Greenback they impressed me more than Oneida. Either way the outcome won't surprise me. Good luck to both teams.

Congrats to the Kees on the win over Midway. I heard a store that Poe and 3 other starts did not play. Does anyone know if there is any truth to it? I don't want to get into the details but I also heard it had something to do with a spark. I know that midway does not post, But I thought someone from greenback might know.

i was at the game till halftime and poe didnt start or play, i dont even think he got to dress.. i heard a few stories of why not but its really untellin. and there starting QB was out too

Actually the harriman Greenback game wasn't close until the end Greenback was up something like 30-6 midway through the 4th then Harriman runs a kickoff back and then greenback fumbles deep in their own territory. harriman made two two point conversions. the game was not nearly as close as the score would indicate.

I havn't seen Greenback, but i have seen Oneida play and they were impressive.
