Guest Advisor
somebody has said that they figure that with all the rain and mud that the game may have to be played in Martin on that new turf! Who would say something that stupid? That would violate nearly every principal that makes up the TSSAA playoffs! A couple of weeks ago, Friendship Christian moved a game from Friday to Saturday against Trousdale County ......not for rain.........but because of the "threat of rain"! The rain had already passed by gametime and nearly every other school in Tennessee played on Friday night! When did rain become such a issue in high school football! I remember when we used to beg for a rain soaked field!! By the way........Milan in a BIG WAY Friday night!
BulldawgDynasty
somebody has said that they figure that with all the rain and mud that the game may have to be played in Martin on that new turf! I think this is intended as a joke. Milan and Martin are both run teams and are not strangers to wet fields. Seems like we always play eachother on a wet field acutally. Does anyone remember Martin's field in 2004? Not a blade of grass between the hashes, 4 inches of simi frozen mud. Our kicker kicked PATs from the hash so he could have a little bit of footing. Our white away jerseys were solid brown with a little red blood mixed in.
Futball4Life
No need for the insult. If you take a look back in this thread you will see some Westview fans have posted. Also most of them while rooting for their team have picked the Dawgs to when the game and are rooting for them to bring the gold ball back to West. So don't knock a fans that are supporting yall as well as our team! Good luck to Milan and I hope Westview pulls out the upset! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Amen to that! I remember that game well...it was a disaster and a great way to slow down a team led by quick and shifty Markei Guy! There was another rain bowl a couple of years back in Milan in 2006. It rained a the wind whipped all night long on the bitterly cold night. Westview fumbled on there opening drive and gave Milan great field position. Milan capitalized one play later for what would be the final score of the game. Milan 7 Westview 0.....there have been a lot of good Westview-Milan memories in the rain now that I think about it! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
