I for one am so tired of this bullsh**. Send a message right or wrong, or it will be too late! If you think as a high school athlete you are above normal standards, you are dead wrong. I played and coached collegiate athletics and over the last several years I cannot stomach what I am seeing with present day athletes. We have become a politically correct society, how about busting some a** along the way to install some discipline!

Stanton Stevens needs to return there ASAP and get the discipline back into that school and program. He will lead by example.

I can't beleive anyone in their right mind would even guess at what to do . this is why the country has so many prisons . We slap someone on the wrist hoping that they will change. This only gives them incentive to carry on. Looks like the coach is part of the problem. If you are not part of the solution then you must be part of the problem. This makes me wounder what kind of people we have teaching and coaching our kids . I hope this is not a common practice everywhere.

This shouldn't even be left up to the coach. If anyone is in charge at AE or the school system NO WAY THEY PLAY any sport the rest of the school year. This is not even worth discussing.

ABSOLUTELY CORRECT !! COACH AND AD DONT HAVE A CHOICE !! THEY DONT PLAY !!

HOPEFULLY THESE YOUNG MEN WILL LEARN FROM THEIR MISTAKES AND LIVE WHOLESOME LIVES .

There was a problem come up with greenback players , not near as serious and the coach dismissed all players envolved. It ruined their season. but sent a message to the up and coming talent.

This was a sting operation at AE . Not much question about who was involved . If they play this week and then are found guilty, the coach should have to pay some conciquences as well . I think their title or any wins after a guilty verdict should be striped from the time of being accused.I think the school board should have something to say if the coach wont. 8 players in a organized ring . This needs addressed more seriously. I wounder could the coach have been involved , it doen't make since .

You must have your schools mixed up. No players dismissed from GB in recent years.

You are correct

They handled it perfectly. They gathered the facts spoke with the authorities and made their decision based on factual information.

The incorrect way is to let a bunch of blow hard hollier than thow posters influence their decision.

By the way owl you sure sang a different tune when your boys visited a high school game and ran into a little trouble in the past.

the kid at Smyrna if you only knew is an example of a kid in a tough situation that has over came it and is now a straight a and b student despite his enviroment. he was on the wrong track when he got to Smyrna and has made a 100% turn around. like I say if most of you knew the facts and the situation you would cheer this kid on.

as for not playing people due to being charged versus convicted what about before your teams game next week I file charges against several of your players with breaking into my house, based on your reasoning they should not play since they have been "charged' regardless of if there is any truth to the charges.

I agree let the 8 of them play. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Thankyou. I'm glad to see that some others don't think a criminal conviction is required before dismissing a player from a team or making them sit out a game.

Several police organizations attempt to take kids who are envolved in at risk behavior and get them interested

in sports like boxing ,football ect...Ironically ,some of you christian people want to expell current football players who

start to show signs of some at risk behavior.

What is it that you know about these kids that police organizations dont know?

OMG ! the same things that are happening today happened back in the day when you played

highschool ball.

Well... the police were running a undercover situation and have it and them all on tape. End of discussion!!!

And you were privy to the tapes I would presume?
