I hope AE has some players sign with Florida State. One of the best all-time programs. They won't get to play there if they get kicked out of games like all the Greenback players did. They were probably just scared of Oneida anyway since they got destroyed the first time.

I would not call the GB Oneida score a blowout and GB did not get destroyed and the actions of the GB players are not near as serious as the ones by AE. They pushed on the field, but they did not violate anyones right to proerty. AE did. They stole from a business and did monetary harm, GB pushed on the field and caused no lasting damage. Are you so ignorant that you cannot see the difference between a push and theft and evading. I think I know the answer.

You prove these boys did something wrong and I'll say don't play them. Right now, however, they are innocent of all alleged charges and should play. You just sound like a comunist or a Catholic fan.

If they are found guilty then you can suspent them, but not before. That aint right unless ur a Russian.

I beg to differ. They can be suspended without being convicted and they should be. They are involved in behavior that brings shame to the football program and school.

Duke lacrosse got suspended without conviction and turned out innocent, and they were only accused. Sounds like AE players evaded arrest and the stolen items were found. Good luck arguing that one.

Brian did get a second chance. He was presented with a valuable learning oppurtunity and can turn his life around and get off drugs. He just couldn't play football. He knew better, he was an adult and there are consequences.

No dog in the fight as far as teams go. I cheer for all East TN teams and could care less who wins. Explain how my comments are communist please. And do so with the definition of communism and try to lay out your thoughts logically. Were they pulled over for evading? Did they have the stolen items on them allegedly?

Cause you have no rights in a comunist goverment. They throw you in jail with no cause and that's what ur wanting to do. You've already decided whether these boys are guilty and are ready to throw them in jail. What if people, lots of people, started saying you stole money from church and you lost your job and where forced to leave your community even if you're innocent. You would be crying about being innocent until proven guilty, but in this case le's suspend them, throw them in jail even though they've not been convicted of any crime. People like you make me sick.

First of all I never said throw them in jail, or that they were guilty. I said that this situation brings shame to the school and team. Being thrown off the team and in jail are two different things. They should have been a little more aware of their situation and not been around the shoplifting ring, and not gotten in a car that tried to evade arrest. This is not just hearsay evidence like in your hypothetical situation. They were caught at the scene, with evidence on them. As I said on the FELONY FOOTBALL thread, if it was just accusations a coach has more ground to stand by his players and defend them. This is not accusatory or hearsay. They were caught. Whole different situation. Gain some reading comprehension hooters, it will help you greatly. I don't see how suspending for conduct unbecoming of a football player is tantamount to jail, but I guess it does in your head.

Sounds to me like your saying they're guilty without due process. Who needs a trial. let's do like the Old West and have a lynching. But I want to wait before they have their day in court before we say they're guilty. That's the American Way. You've said all these things they've done wrong and haven't heard their side of things. Until then you need to quit believing everything you read. The media and police have been wrong before. There are plenty of cases out there that prove this point.

It would be in the best interest of the AE school and football team to not allow these players to participate. I am not saying they are guilty. But they can and should be banned from the game. What is there side of things? Were they or were they not caught by police evading arrest? I'm not saying send them straight to jail, but don't let them play. They are involved in very questionable activities.

Another poster in the other thread put it this way. If you want them to play let them, and if AE loses no harm done whether they are innocent or proven guilty. But if they win and it turns out they are guilty then the AE team forfeits all wins and the State Championship if they won it. In this situation the players would probably want the guys suspeneded so their efforts would not be compromised.

You have got to be a PARENT,RELATIVE or AE FAN of these players, NO WAY should these young men be allowed to play PERIOD. You are talking about other programs, I think you should concentrat on AE's problems not CHS or Greenback, thier coaches and community will deal with thiers. The bottom line is that these young men are accused of wrong doings and the police felt that the evidence gave them enough to pursue an arrest,. If they were not doing wrong they should have not ran. Secondlly I watched the news last night and people were saying my child was not involved just was in the wrong place at the wrong time maybe so but, the process of law needs to be done and see how it washes out. As far as being able to play, being on a football team requires players to have DISIPLINE and follow a set of given rules not to be broken, when coaches start allowing players that have been arrested for a felony to stay on the team let alone possiblly play then that coach is selling out to things way deeper then teaching kids all the things that go with being on the football team. If any of these boys are found NOT GUILTY then they should be allowed to rejoin the team next game or season which ever comes first, this would set a great example for the younger players and let all players know that you are respondsiable for your actions
