The 7th has been scratched. We will not have a QB and only 1 RB for the scrimmage due to track and baseball. The one here on the 15th is still on. Friday(8th) should be a 11 on 11 scrimmage at full speed at Long-Reel. They will go all 5 days next week and wrap it up on the 15th with Volunteer on the turf.

Thanks for the correction " 72 " My mind is slipping .

A good scrimmage is what is needed by the linemen and the coaches will

get a look at others players looking for playing time this fall.

72---There was some good hard hitting in the Friday scrimmage All the

players were eager to get some good licks . Volunteer will have different

faces and make the scrimmage more interesting .Who was filling in at QB ?

I hope the rainy weather holds off for Volunteer as both teams needs this

scrimmage .

The QB was Aaron Wheeler(so.). He will be a rb/wr come fall. We will not have Ricker or Howell for the scrimmage on Fri. @ qb nor Clark(wr) or Blanton(rb) because of track and baseball.

I did not remember seeing any QB practicing as a drop back passer with quick feet and a rifle arm.

East is stocked up with players at the skilled positions and must maintain their condition this summer

to compete with the other teams on their schedule. The Spring practice days will be over this Friday

and I hope both teams play at their best with no injuries on either team.

Thanks for the update Canefan 72 .

Welcome Hampton and Volunteer to Morristown East. If the weather holds

we should see some good football and a lot of different players wanting to

make a good showing . Play hard and good luck to the thee teams.

I would really have loved to have had Blanton,Clark and Howell for that scrimmage. Our secondary looked like a young bunch and made mistakes that lead to big plays. Other than that, I was pleased by the D and saw some new youngsters show up!!! Cody Ricker looked pretty darn good at QB.

Overall M.E. had a good scrimmage . The lack of secondary experience was a weak area

that will be okay by season opener. Ricker did a good job considering he had not been

practicing. 72--Is M.E. going to have a long snapper and punter ready this year ? This

is needed to keep the ball down the field on the other side and should be a high priority.
