To my Mighty Warriors.....I couldn't be more proud of you boys, you've had one heck of a season. I have known for the last couple of years that you had it in you but you just needed a great leader to pull it all together. You went to Alcoa and played your hearts out and gave them a fight that they didn't see coming. To the seniors hold your heads up high you accomplished something that most everyone said couldn't be done. It was a hard fought game by both teams and I would like to say congrats to the Alcoa players! I'm not going to get on here and squabble about silly stuff because all that does is take away from 2 great groups of kids that have played their hearts out all year!

We love you Warriors and you will always be remembered as that MIGHTY PURPLE STORM that took the valley by surprise and brought back the winning spirit to MC football!!!!!

Way to go Warriors!!!!!

PS

As for the comment about the gentleman and his siren....who cares what Alcoa fans think about it he shows his support for our boys the best way he can and our boys love him for it and they love the siren because it sure can irritate some players on the field...lol......and that man with siren has more class in his pinky finger than the one that made the comment about the siren will ever have!!!!!

This was an awesome post, until your last few comments. Know one knew this person was in a wheel chair? AMAZING! Good game Marion Co. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

You people are amazing! (yes, I said "you people") Yes, the siren sounded sick; we didn't have a clue what it was at first. Would knowing that the gentleman was handicapped had changed my opinion? No, it wouldn't have. If ya'll are proud of it, good for you. I don't even think the boys heard it, so I don't know how it could irritate them.

Amazing that out of that entire post, someone focused on the sickly siren and ran with it!

And, as I said at the end of the post:

"ya'll gave us more than we were expecting; whoever says differently is lying. Definitely gave us a scare and earned our respect. Congrats on a great season! I fully expect ya'll to go at least this far next season if ya'll can keep the intensity up (I suspect ya'll can).

Again, thanks for the best game 2A we've been in all season and congrats on a great season!"

(Guess someone didn't read that far)

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
