I heard that Red Bank Coach Tim Daniels has discovered he played an ineligible player all year, so the team's record is officially 0-4 instead of 7-4. Is there more to it than that? Who's the player? What happened?

I agree, he did what some would not do. That makes him a great person in my book.

 

BUT, my question is this, how in the world did they screw up and make the mistake in the first place?

I think the article said it was just a missed bad grade from the spring, if the coach had not turned it in it would never even have been known at all.

This was admirable but I think the writer (a Red Bank guy from a long time back) goes a little overboard here. It might have been a monumental decision had it taken place just before the playoffs began, especially during one of Red Bank's successful seasons, not after it was the season is over.
