How's the jr. high gonna be this year.

Termite, I hear they have the best trio of LB's that they have had in many years along with the material you mentioned. Also, the 6th grade is loaded with material.Looks like the pipeline is loaded for the next few years.

 

I normally don't name kids because I always feel like I've left somebody out or shorted somebody, but Manning, Williams, Willis, Gregory, Rich, just to name a few play pretty good ball.

There a 5-6 in 7th grade that will be OK once they figure it out. I don't know about any others. I don't watch Jr. Pro.. Was burned out on it years ago when it was Daddy ball. Don't know about it now.

Jr. Pro IMO is not a good measuring stick. I have seen Jr. Pro superstars not play much in Jr. high or high school. I've followed the Jr. high program pretty close for about 10 years. Look at 5-6 years ago. There were tons of Jr. pro players coming in as 7th graders. There was Denny-Bush-Johnston-Vance and maybe Bray and another or 2 that started....and never played a down of Jr. Pro.. I do know that there are a bunch of athletic kids 8-12 that I've seen at the Little League parks. Of coarse...some will wear blue.

Who are yall pickin to win Thursday night ? Smith @ Macon Jr. High

Two good plays followed by 2 not so good. Back and forth. Nothing consistant......good or bad.

Play didn't look.........I don't know.....inspired?? Nobody left happy. Maybe a lesson learned. That's what these things are for.

I heard a parent tell one of the coaches as I was leaving ..."If you were worried about having something to do the next few days , you don't have to worry any more". ^_^

Scrimmages are just ways for teams to have "live" looks at ways to sure up things that need to be corrected. No sense in keeping score or stats in any of them because it is useless. The goal is for both teams involved to get better against "live" competition and for both teams to learn from it and go on to have solid seasons.

why haven't you smith county folk been talkin football the last few days? usually the football chatter over there stays at a nice constant. you guy's usually don't get quite like this till bout midway through the playoffs. wacka wacka wacka :thumb:

Most of the chatter is on the Cheatham Co. page and 8AA page. I forgot about this page.

Good luck to you guys also and maybe the injury bug will stay away.

      Im asking everyone to keep roy whited and his family in your prayers. Coach whited won back to back state championships at white county in 98-99. He is very well liked and respected in this area. For those of you that dont know he went missing 3 days ago. No one knows where he is. His truck was found in a rural part of the county. Thanks again. We are all very concerned.

      West would be a good team to get behind if they can pull it off again like last year. That championship game last year was awesome.

      I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.

      I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!

      Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
