I spoke with him yesterday about making good choices, I love all the boys there and had to leave due to how the state championshp was handled. But I will miss them all.

So allot of us from NW was wondering about the new coach at NW. I was seeing if any of yall from Springfield would come to the northwest thread, and let us know about this new coach if any knows much about him.

Yes we will be running the spread and the scrimmage is tonight at 6 at Boyce Smith Stadium.

We scrimmage Springfield on Friday July 31st. Should be a good test for both of us! Used to be a great regular season rivalry but we haven't played since 2000. Maybe in 2 years we can re-schedule one another......

It was a fun scrimmage. The coaching staff was everywhere coaching the boys. Hadn't see that in some time. Seems as if coach myers has his team together. Congratulations for the first scrimmage coach.

 

From what we saw before the lightening, good movement of the ball on the ground, and the defense was very stingy. However, at times our boys seemed lost. The new ideals seem to be haunted by the old ways. Still, this was a very disciplined team that listened to the coaches and reacted to the game plan. Know coach myers, but who was the two tall white coaches all over the defensive side of the field. Man, they were in the heat of action every play correcting the boys, and giving them adjustments. Who are they, and who are the 3 black coaches that were in the heat of battle. What are our new coaches names?

 

We are very proud of the early product. However, the big question is can you guys continue? Just wondering!

Just wait until these guys have the summer 7 on 7 experience under their belts. This group will continue to improve as the season progresses. Knowing Coach Myers, they will be extremely physical and disciplined. With a few athletes, this team could be a little dangerous come late Oct. or early Nov.

Springfield always has decent athletes, so this should be a good season.....
