Memphis Central has to be the tournament favorite. They were the No. 1 Ranked team up until the final AP poll of the year and were the top S+S Ranking team all year long.

They have 3-4 kids capable of being D-I.

Probably looking at a double-digit win here..

Of course, perhaps if TN High wears the road maroon uniforms they have a chance. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

They won at Cocke County.

Wore them against Sullivan Central.

Won at Bearden.

The one time in the home whites, they lost by 29.

Will post this on this thread but as you can guess, a lot of posters can take issue with ths acessment. Memphis Central is well coached and still is a Memphis team. Tendancies of the area in Womens Basketball have been they have Great Talent and this School does but Coaching only caught up when some notable coaches arrived abbout three or four years ago and and understanding that the Run and Gun totally might not be best and the understanding that coaching and under control likely will win more. Memphis Central does a very good job of player understanding and team play but tendancies are still there. So getting teams out of their tendancies might not allow them to play as they normnally do and be of an advantage.

The other side of it, if a team tries to out athletic a team like Memphis Central unless you are athletic yourself, you are at a disadvantage. So where does that leave playing Memphis Central, play it smart, with momentum and don't try to out run them.

Beware.... Central is by far not your typical Memphis team. They have demonstrated thru the course of the season, that they can be patient on offense and will lock down on defense. Central is not a run 'n gun type team. As stated they are well coached and well prepared. Not to mention they are doubtly one of the strongest team, players 1 thru 5 (Mimi A.- MTSU; Erica B.-S.E.Louisiana; Jasmine T.-Arkansas State; and 2 of the most talented freshman in the state(country) With all that being said, you still have to play the game and anything can happen. But, Central should be the odds on favorite. Time will tell.

Well said "MTOWN21", Central is NOT your typical Memphis team. This team can run with the best of them and grind it out if need be. This TEAM plays well together. No selfishness. They are deep enough to overcome foul trouble and a bad first half. They shoot the ball well and attack the rim. Their TEAM defense is suffocating. They come at you in waves and waves. They have been tested on the National stage in Phoenix, Az., losing by one point only after the ref. called a foul with no time on the clock. The competition in West Tenn. with 16AAA, 15AAA, and 14AAA is outstanding and they ran thru the area without a blemish. This team is FOR REAL!! If you have not seen them play this year, please, please, please, make your way to Murfreesboro and check them out. You will not be disappointed. Even when they have a bad game, it's still exciting to watch them play. Without a doubt they should "WIN IT ALL!!

Tennessee High is well coached and led by point guard Danielle Montgomery (UMass signee). They are not real big, but have several good players to compliment Montgomery. It is the first time they have been on the big stage, but I do not think they will just roll over.

I hope they don't just roll over, but they did lose a game by 29pts. this year. I don't think any game will be easy, but the better team will prevail.

We played one and know the other very well. The one we played ended up in a less than 10 point loss. We may not have been within 30 or the other. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

It's good to see TN High represent the Big 9, but I have seen Memphis Central and it appears unless a miracle happens, Central will win this one by a wide margin. Hats off to first time coach Wade...he has done what no other TN coach could do. The curse is now off of them, but enjoys it this year, it probably won't happen once Montgomery leaves. /motorbike.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":motorbike:" border="0" alt="motorbike.gif" />

Coach Wade has done a great job. Tennessee High has had a ton of talent over the past twenty years, but could never get to Murfreesboro. He has done it and this is not the most talented team that they have had.

I don't think any team that makes to the boro will roll over. Its tennessee girls basketball some of the best ball in the country this year won't be any different. If you have never been to the boro you need to go it will be a big show> Get your popcorn ready. Popcorn eater mmmmmmmmm good.

Will they keep the clock running in the state touurney if a team is down by 35+? Is there a mercy rule? Will Central have to stay inside the 3 point line in the second half on defense? Has a team ever scored 100 points in a state tourney game????????? /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />
