Rhea Co.
When you have the talent and the coaching staff like Maryville. You can dominate on any level, but it won't be as easy has it has been.

I mean who can beat Maryville? I think the Red Rebs will start a new streak in 6 A. Big boys, huh!
BatmanDB
Maryville is still Maryville and will compete well with the big boys. The road will be a lot harder come playoff time. There are not many teams any better than the one that you seen in the finals last year. Maryville has never seen Oakland in the semi-finals or been pushed in the second and third round every year just to get there. That's why it's been so hard for most this side of OakRidge to get it done in the last several years.I think the the big Red will get it done at some point, but in no way do I think it will happen near as often as in 4A.It's no disrespect to your great program,it is just a very hard road in 5A.DB has been close three times in the last 10 or 12 years, and much like Bearden a couple of years ago,had to come home once knowing that should have been the year. 92Dragon
I think Farragut and Ooltewah will give Maryville a run for their money this year!
BigAir
Ironically, the toughest game on the schedule will likely come from the smallest school. Alcoa returns crazy tallent in what will likely be their most lopsided waltz to the gold ball in a decade of ballroom dancing in the 'boro. As usual, we get them right out of the gate with limited time for cohesion and maturity - in a year when there is clearly a changing of the guard. Losing something like 16 starters is huge no matter who you are and what kind of young talent will emerge. It needs time to emerge, and time is not something we get much of with the new schedule. That said, watch for a vastly improved and lethal bunch by OctoberNovember.
warhawks
Maryville will be just fine! Will not be easy though! Good luck in your new classification!

Thecatcall09
Guys Maryville has played in the toughest region in Tennessee and until about 2 years ago the 5A regions have not been that tough with DB and Oak Ridge not being that good and Maryville battling with Central and West the last few years!!! bladerunner
Who can beat Maryville? Hillsboro /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Sorry i just had to. Sir that was a fluke, if you say anything bad about Maryville you are a hater. Maryville will win out this year & go back to the state. They will win the state this year & stop this big boy talk. Guys Maryville has played in the toughest region in Tennessee and until about 2 years ago the 5A regions have not been that tough with DB and Oak Ridge not being that good and Maryville battling with Central and West the last few years!!! You said it, they have played the best in the state, who does Maryville have to beat to get some respect?
