Grundy Co High

The young coaches they have on the mtn today will be fine, and in time they will build a program. As for as MC I just want to see how long it takes before their head coach and old KC bump heads. You know he is the greatest coach ever just ask him, he will tell you. Keep KC and the trainers out of the field house after hours and MC will be OK. What made him good at MC were his assistants nothing less. He didn't have them at his other stops and didn't win.

Reguardless of what you think, Ken is a great coach and most people realize that his assistants helped him win a bunch of games. head coaches get too much credit and too much blame, I believe......it is all about the staff that is in place. I don't believe Troy and Ken will bump heads, I know that yall would like to see that happen, but I think you will be dissapointed :o Good luck this year!!

Was there a scrimmage last night? If so, how was it?
I think I saw where they scrimmaged at Whitwell with the Tigers and Upperman but I could be mistaken.

I didn't go because the Junior Jackets and my boy were in the middle school scrimmage at Hixson Saturday morning and we had to be up VERY early. I talked to Coach Bryant Saturday night at the kickoff dinner and he said Grundy beat Whitwell 5-1 and Upperman 2-1.

DL.

EGO's you have to watch the ego's there. To many, you will see, staffs are what makes the head coach look either great or like crap. I still can't remember your career games against GC must of been JV games

nope, no name, wasn't jv.......I am sure if you were old enough that is what you were playing, just about everybody was jv up there ^_^

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
