I smell favoritism... Maybe even a little Racism... All the guys I named were gettin taken off the field by short and I am guessing lesser athletic white boys. I'm sorry but # 7 was way more effective than #16 was at QB... Someone said that #9 has just started playin football... I bet he is a better athlete than all the over Wide outs Millington got, just throw jump balls since yall's passing game is buddy (that's Haven speak for not very good). I'm just calling it how I saw it... i maybe wrong but # 63 was Millington's BIGGEST dude and he got no type of look. U have to see what a guy his size can do!

Sir, if you smell racism it is coming from you. First off number 16 is not a QB numbers 11 and 7 are and 7 is a starting tailback.Number 9 is a good athlete and will come around and yes he did start because two starting recievers were out with injuries. It is hard for me to understand how a person can point fingers about something you nothing about. I know very little about Whitehaven football and would not make comments out of my ignorance.I am truly sorry you feel the way you do. If you knew our kids and coaches you would know how close they are. Race having nothing to do with it. Millington happens to be a very diverse strong community and football program. Most other schools can't say this.

Senator, you are way off base. This group of seniors and a lot of the kids you have mentioned have been playing together since the 9th grade and some longer. This is probably one of the more disciplined group of young men we have had in some time. They all get along great. They cut up together, eat together, and a lot of them hang out together. Them knowing each other so long has formed friendships between us parents, black and white. Also, some of the biggest kids on the team are the sophomores who are young and not nearly as strong or fast as they should be yet.....yet being the key word. We are anxiously awaiting these kids to develop because they are BIG! There is no type of animosity from Millington parents black or white as to who should be playing.

This type of conversation is over. Stay on your own team page until your school plays us and then I welcome any friendly banter.....if you continue this type of division I will have you flagged to coach T and request you be banned.

A lot of Chatter between Millington fans and obeservers but does any OB fans have anything to say about your team? I have seen a couple films and they are obiviously HUGE and talented but look alittle unsure of if they want to run or pass with the 2 QB system. I think the Millington Defense will show a little pride this week with a better effort and i hope the Offense can get some confidence early and not let this one get out of hand. The last season Millington had a negative turnover ratio they were (1-9) and right now they are in negative numbers so we know they have to create some turnover and hang on tp the ball if they are going to be in this one.

This should be a good game, but I feel OB will wear Millington down. Millington needs to have something good happen early or they may hang their heads after last week. If Millington's coach reads these boards, he may let the arm chair QB's talk him into trying to run an O that his team can not adapt to. I would love to be at this game but want be able to. Will the game be on the radio?

Tigertime, dont look like the "O" worked last week, so you adapt and improve or you search yourself. I hope there was a lot of improvement in the practices this week. I hope we win. I hope our guys play their hearts out. I hope the coaches made the necessary changes...this arm chair QB has been around this program a good while and also played at the college level....sometimes, just sometimes there may be some wisdom in what is said

    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
